Hello - Long time reader. I have decided to build a 200 Series Maltec truck, and would like to sell my 100 series.

I will copy and paste the information from the thread when I purchased the truck last November. This has been an absolutely phenomenal truck, and has absolutely ignited my passion for overland travel, so I have decided to up the ante a bit.

Johnny the previous owner and I have kept in contact, and I have completed 4 successful trips totaling about 10k miles since November. This is a 4th vehicle for me, and sees light Sunday driving or overlanding, and has been maintained and cared for with an open check book. I have a biweekly detailer that comes and washes all my cars, and the 100 gets the same treatment.

This truck is absolutely perfectly setup, and I always thought I would take it to my grave, but the opportunity to get into a dream 200 series has popped up. I have also discovered in my travels, I enjoy more of the camping and out door living more so than the serious off roading, which is prompting the change. I have wheeled this truck up hells gate in Moab and it is highly capable.

Clean car fax, Galactic Gray Mica, no rust, runs great, 188k miles

$29k

This LX was built specifically to replace our expo 80. After using the 80 for several years we decided to relegate that to trail duty and build something more stable and comfortable at highway speeds, while still maintaining excellent off road performance.

The truck has performed flawlessly since we've owned it. It has been across the AZ Strip, the Camino Del Diablo, and recently did a 6K mile cross country trip (didn't use a drop of oil).

History:

I bought the truck from Cos4X4 (2nd owner), here on Mud, in late May of 2014.

This is a great looking LX, great photos, and great travels. Looks like some real fun. Makes me want reconsider a future Tacoma purchase.

GLWS, would also like to see it on BAT...

Hey guys, the ko2's were starting to lose balance after 30+k miles, and the last trip i was on, so I wanted to try out the ST Maxx's.... Decided to upgrade the wheels too while I was at it.... Price is the same $32k now with brand new wheels and tires. Cheers.

That last pic looks a lot like an old mining building that I stumbled across in CO 4-5 years ago and would like to go back to that area to explore more. I was in a rental jeep cause I was in the area on business but can't remember where it was! Sooo... is that in CO?? Probably just a coincidence but worth a shot!

Great rig and worth the asking price... GLWS!!

Great rig. (I have an '05 Galactic Grey LX, doing a lighter expo-build).
Totally off-topic, but...where did you get those seat covers? Love the pockets & the look. Did you have custom-sewn?
Thanks
Brian

Thanks - I re-read your build thread & found. Best wishes on the sale.

Yeah I realize everyone here is looking for a deal... But the number of trucks that are as complete and turn key as mine that come to market is very low. This isnt a run of the mill 100 with bumpers and sliders. It is turn key, drive it to africa and back. :) I'm in no hurry to sell, I just thought someone may want a complete turn key 100 instead of spending 60k+ over time to build it like this one.

X2!

Although I'm sorry to see the LX leave the great home @UNinvisble has given it, I'm really looking forward to seeing the MALTEC 200!

The only reason I sold the rig was to make room for the Tiny House Tundra so I can't blame him.

A super straight and capable 100 at a great price, whoever ends up with this should be really happy.

That said...I prefer the 16" early-100 series wheels that were on it. :)

GLWS!!

June 2018 @ 188k

- Replace engine oil/filter

- Replace Air filter

- Replace Fuel Filter

- Replace Spark Plugs

Great looking rig. Price seems reasonable. I know if I sold mine I'd try to get closer to that, but when i inevitably regretted that and tried to buy one back, I'd definitely try to knock the price down! Guess it's all about perspective. Good luck with the 200.

Hi, love your 100 series and am using some of what you did to build ours. Question for you, how was the rear view vision with the spare on the passenger side and fridge on the driver's side? Any issues? Good luck with your sale for an (only word that comes to mind) exquisite example of a extremely well set up 100 series.

I find out if I’m going to be stationed in Vina Del Mar, Chile in the next 2 weeks, I hope this is still available if I get it. Would love to take this into the Andes/ Patagonia.
