Hello - Long time reader. I have decided to build a 200 Series Maltec truck, and would like to sell my 100 series.

I will copy and paste the information from the thread when I purchased the truck last November. This has been an absolutely phenomenal truck, and has absolutely ignited my passion for overland travel, so I have decided to up the ante a bit.

Johnny the previous owner and I have kept in contact, and I have completed 4 successful trips totaling about 10k miles since November. This is a 4th vehicle for me, and sees light Sunday driving or overlanding, and has been maintained and cared for with an open check book. I have a biweekly detailer that comes and washes all my cars, and the 100 gets the same treatment.

This truck is absolutely perfectly setup, and I always thought I would take it to my grave, but the opportunity to get into a dream 200 series has popped up. I have also discovered in my travels, I enjoy more of the camping and out door living more so than the serious off roading, which is prompting the change. I have wheeled this truck up hells gate in Moab and it is highly capable.

Clean car fax, Galactic Gray Mica, no rust, runs great, 188k miles

$29k

This LX was built specifically to replace our expo 80. After using the 80 for several years we decided to relegate that to trail duty and build something more stable and comfortable at highway speeds, while still maintaining excellent off road performance.

The truck has performed flawlessly since we've owned it. It has been across the AZ Strip, the Camino Del Diablo, and recently did a 6K mile cross country trip (didn't use a drop of oil).

History:

I bought the truck from Cos4X4 (2nd owner), here on Mud, in late May of 2014.

Sorry we couldn't work thinks out when you and I corresponded a few weeks ago.. it's an amazing truck. FWIW, the seller was very willing to discuss details, and answered my questions in depth, quickly, and was a very pleasant dude to correspond with. We couldn't close the price gap between what I could spend and what he needed to get, so I ended up buying a 2005 w/ 135k on it and electing to go the "build as needed" route instead of turnkey and maybe way more truck than I really needed. Wish you had been able to move just a BIT ... would have saved me a lot of work! ;) GLWS..

with the RTT, what is the total height? apologies if i missed that earlier.

cool, thanks...i need to re-measure, but I think I have clearance. :)

Hi, love your 100 series and am using some of what you did to build ours. Question for you, how was the rear view vision with the spare on the passenger side and fridge on the driver's side? Any issues? Good luck with your sale for an (only word that comes to mind) exquisite example of a extremely well set up 100 series.

The safety screen on the TrekBoxx occludes all vision through the rear window. It was never a big deal for me as all of my work rigs had zero rear visibility. Our Tiny House Tundra is the same way. Not a problem as long as you hit intersections at a 90...which I always do anyway.:steer:

Sorry for the slow responses guys, been building a house over the last year and I am wrapping it up and moving in, PM me for my phone number and we can talk or text.

Thanks

Which was where we were when you turned me down a few months ago when you told me I was "very far off on the price." Sigh. It's a great truck... wish we could have done business back then. In any case, I'm enjoying the one I bought and doing the improvements slowly myself as needed. Good luck with the sale, and thanks again for taking the time to answer all my questions way back when.

No, it was not. You offered me 23k, and told me you could build my truck for $25k or less. Best of luck to you.

Where did you sourcecthe material for the front floor mats?

Thanks and free bump!

They look like Lloyd Mats:

» Rubbertite

Love this build btw. Crazy it’s still here.

Sheeeeet, getting pretty close to my 6 month mark! If this is around in Jan/Feb it's mine. No questions asked...other than where to send the check

beautiful truck, good luck with the sale

Power steering pump was making a little noise last time I drove it, so I'm having that looked at, will replace/repair what ever is necessary of course. bump.
