I'm real superstitious and some other things happened the day before and it was almost like it wasn't meant for me to go down there and look at that rig !!

The deal isn't dead yet. I just really need to talk to the adjuster to see what all of this mess is going to cost.

Just bought a 2004 LX470 black, lived its life in Austin Tx. 38xxx miles one owner not a lease. perfect condition. paid $36K it was put into service in august of 2004 so it has 4 months of bumper to bumper Lexus warranty and 2 years and 4months and 32K miles of powertrain warranty.

OK, here is my question? does Lexus have an extended warranty I can buy to keep the bumper to bumper going for another couple of years?

ya you can get the "platinum" warranty if its still under warranty now. Otherwise You will have to settle for gold. I'm thinking of extending the warranty on out LS with the platinum before the original warranty is up. I waited till after the LX was up to extend it, and I could only get the "gold" which doesnt cover certain things, but that warranty has now been expired too due to mileage.

Got the platinum" warranty so I am covered for 39 months and or up to 100K miles of bumper to bumper warranty. it cost me $2K but its a Lexus warranty sold by my Lexus dealer and since they will do all the service i feel that i am covered. now i just need to keep this LX until the warranty is getting to be close to running out.

I got the best price I could find on the platium warranty on the internet with the help of fellow IHMUDers and the local Lexus dealer matched it. so I saved $900
