I know this is an old thread but i'm trying to locate the pin out for the tape Deck. I have the 2002 land cruiser with the navigation. I want to remove the tape deck and keep the navigation intact, so I need to know what pass through's for the other modules. My goal is to Start fresh with a new head unit and then do the amp bypass but run new power and signal and speaker wire for everything. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

This might be more helpful: Pre-03 nav delete how-to

There's another good thread in here about a pre-'03 swap...maybe by @Pyrenees? Neither totally address your question, but maybe there's some good info for you.

@saucebox yup that was me - link is in my signature, I completely bypassed the factory amp and installed an Apple Carplay headunit with Alpine speakers and a powered sub. Makes my daily commute much more fun :)

Nice. I'll forever be jealous of the more modern screen tech.

Thanks to the people on mud, I figured out before I bought my 100 that the pre-2003's were a much simpler swap. Even a year ago when I bought my 100, the 2003+ "tesla style" vertical Android-based units were still pretty iffy-looking to me but some of them seem to have come a ways. Not the same level of touch responsiveness and execution as CarPlay, but I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of years from now the "tesla style" units come of age and get to be decently solid. Too late for my purposes, but great for the people who cherish the 06-07 unicorns :)

Thanks guys, much appreciated feedback. I really don't want to go down the full NAV bypass road. I have read through all of the threads on how to do it though. Nobody seems to address the Radio connectors and the pin-out on the tape deck there are two. Are these not used when you do the bypass? I believe there is just a power and ground that loop through the tape unit that powers the AC circuit. If I can find those and bypass the tape deck I would be all set and hopefully it wouldn't be to big of a job. Does anybody have the electrical manual for this?

Thank you ill check that out.

Have you looked at this thread.
