I am contemplating selling my baby (well, sort of). I don't ever wheel it, even though it's built up well enough. It's sort of a waste sitting here. Plus, I've got another truck for that purpose, so I'm kind of questioning the value of having two built trucks for off-roading. Especially since one of them (the 100) is currently my wife's daily driver, so I hardly ever get to drive it anyway. Still on the fence since I absolutely love the truck, but just throwing some stuff against the wall to see what sticks. Here's what it's got currently:

Suspension/Wheels:
  • OME 2" medium lift (coils and torsion bars)
  • Bilstein shocks
  • Slee diff drop
  • Air Lift airbags plus Load Controller II inflation system with sensor and air compressor
  • 1.25" wheel spacers/adapters (6061 T-6 billet aircraft aluminum from WheelAdapter.com) - these are custom machined WITH the hub centering rings for all four wheels, no one else does this
  • Goodyear Wrangler SilentArmor tires with more than 50% tread left (275/70-18, or 33" x 11")

Armor/Winch/Lights:
  • custom rear steel bumper (i4c4lo's original bumper), best departure angle without cutting the frame, no tire carrier, newly powder-coasted, does include beefy recovery points and the Toyota integrated tow hitch
  • ARB Sahara front bumper, newly powder-coated (including the formerly chrome hoop)
  • ARB/IPF foglight kit, brand new, plus a second set of lights one of which has a cracked lens (good spares, especially since these are $350 a pair new)
  • Superwinch EP 9.0 winch
  • Superwinch quick disconnect plugs
  • Viking synthetic winch rope
  • Viking Delrin winch fairlead roller
  • Hella 4000 Rallye Eurobeams (pair, with security lock nuts)
  • Slee step sliders (old style with bolt-on steps)

Electrical:
  • Hellroaring BIC 95300B dual battery control system with in-cabin control switch
  • Sears Die Hard Platinum battery (i.e. Odyssey) put in this year
  • Costco backup starting battery in Slee dual battery bracket put in this year
  • interior breaker block for powering radios, etc.
  • George Scolaro's LED dome lights

Expedition Gear:
  • African Outback (AO) full-length roofrack plus these roofrack accessories:
  • second set of 80 Series gutter mounts so that the roof rack could be moved back and forth between a 100 and an 80 (or similar truck with rain gutters, e.g. FJ-60)
  • AO dual Jerry can bracket
  • AO Hi-Lift mount
  • AO shovel mount
  • AO fridge slider

Interior:
  • Milford full size cargo barrier
  • Wet Okole seat covers for front and middle rows, with custom "Land Cruiser" script on front seats

Truck has all factory options (side and curtain airbags, voice-activated nav system with touch screen, rear camera, Bluetooth, etc.) and is only missing the DVD rear entertainment system (which was a dealer-installed option anyway).

All factory services up to date. Water pump and timing belt done recently, so no need to worry for a long time. Nav head unit was also replaced recently with a new unit under the Toyota Platinum extended warranty (which just expired at the end of May).

Blue Book on the truck with these options and mileage (77K) and in "Good" condition is $29,380. Original cost of all the additional "stuff" (not including the batteries or tires) is about $10,000. Owned it since new and it's been in California its entire life. If I sold it, I would be looking for around $35,000 for the truck, built and complete as is. Thoughts? Please PM me if interested.

Thanks,

Derek

Can you post some more pictures? Exterior / Interior? What is the overall condition? Any nicks or scratches? Any issues, mechanical or cosmetic?

Mechanically it is perfect. It has always been serviced by a Toyota dealer (except for some oil changes which I did myself using either Delo 400 or Mobile 1 full synthetic). I have all service records and the maintenance book has even been stamped (I come from a Mercedes world where this is critically important). This thing has really been babied its entire life. Crap, why am I selling it?

Cosmetically it does have a couple scratches (it is seven years old after all), but otherwise is in excellent shape as well. Paint looks like new, and it has been garaged its entire life. Absolutely no pin-striping! Leather is soft with no cracks, and it has been treated with Leatherique since new (again, this is a Mercedes thing). Also, the Wet Okoles went on when it was about two years old, and since then the leather has never seen the sun. Third row is kept out of the truck and stored in SOR bags in the house.

I have a bunch of pics and will post them when I get home from work. Need some more time to get the Wet Okoles off and take pictures of the seats, that might have to be this weekend. I'll either post here or it might be easier to put them on Flickr and just post a link. Stay tuned!

Thanks,

$35,000 is a good price. With those miles that truck would sell for $25,000 stock and it has $15,000 worth of stuff/labor/tires on it.

Sub $30K and it will probably move if you really want to sell it - above that and people who need a loan are also coming out of pocket for the mods.

Beautiful rig

Sacramento Area, but I also go to the Bay quite often.

Thanks Nay. Unfortunately, it's not really worth it to me to sell it for less. We still love the rig. It's just a little tall and a little thirsty for the family, though that's what you pay for the privilege of driving a Land Cruiser! Plus, like I said, I have another rig built for this kind of stuff.

OK, here are some more pics. I still have to get some detailed shots of the interior, engine bay, roofrack, etc. Will try to get to that this weekend.

Sorry guys for wasting your time. After talking it over with the wife, we've decided to keep the truck. It's just too nice and we've had it since new, so we know its entire history and have already taken the big depreciation hit. Also, the vehicle we were planning to replace it with, a Highlander Hybrid, is pretty much unobtanium right now since the tsunami.

But, I will be stripping most of the goodies off the truck to put it back pretty much to stock, so look for these items to show up in the Parts Classifieds soon.

Thanks for all of your interest, questions, and PMs.

Why bring it back to stock? The ARB gear is fantastic safety equipment that saves lives and the vehicle in a crash. Do a search and check out the results of the ARB in crashes.

Beautiful cruiser. Glad to see you came to your senses. :) You might want to edit your first post to note it is off the market.
