New to the forum here. I've been hunting down a 100 series LC for several years now. I've come close before but backed out because of high mileage.
But tomorrow I'm going to look at a 03 LC with 190k miles on it. They're asking $18k for it. Two owners. Clean Carfax. Based on the pics, it looks super well-kept.
My question is, is 190k too much and if so, is it worth $18k?? Aside from rust in the undercarriage, what should I be looking and listening for?

1. 2nd timing belt change should have been done fairly recently
2. Brakes. When starting, you should hear the brake MC pump pressurizing the accumulator… should pump for mid-20 seconds
3. Entertainment screen
4. If AHC … fluid in reservoir should move 11+-3 graduations when moving between H and L
5. Sunroof
6. Rust on underside of rear hatch
7. Rust under rear quarter panels
8. Fluid leaks
9. Wheel bearings (wiggle wheels)
Good luck

190k is a drop in the bucket. As far as price that completely up to what makes you happy. You I'll never get a consensus on hear about price. Under 200k is getting harder to find. If your happy then go for it

At 18k, absolutely everything should function without noise. No rust at all. If you are not convinced that the timing belt has been done, then the price should be at least 1500 less. Mileage is not a concern. Should run quiet. Good luck!

Drove it. In solid condition. Drives straight and drives well. No noises that I could hear. Seller agreed to sell for $16,500 contingent upon an inspection at my mechanic's shop next week. Timebelt changed 02/23 which she had paperwork for.
