Saw this on BaT and figured I'd share it here. Surprising to find an ultra low mileage 100 series these days. This is not my vehicle and I have no affiliation with the seller or BaT.

That's the thing I don't get. You can get a 2016+ 200 series with 50k mi for about the same price or even less. I don't see anything the 100 series does better than a 200 series, just everything will be more outdated. 200 will have more tech, more comfort, more powerful and efficient drivetrain, and all the wear items will be in better shape. I can understand an 80 series with 50k mi on it going for $60k because it is unique in that it has a solid front axle and a bonus if you get triple lockers. But I'd never imagine getting a 100 series for the price of a 200 right now.

It's far rarer to find a 100 with less than 50k, and those that want it and can pay for it will. That's all. Buying a car is already an illogical decision - if it weren't most Mud members would be driving Honda Ridgelines or Pilots. Throw in the "I always wanted one of these when I was 16-25" and it's really no surprise that these trucks are going for that price. Are they "worth" it vs. a 200? Most would argue no, but if you gave 5,000 Mud members $61k at least one person would say yes. Hence the sale.

Edit: Added some words for clarity.

If you gave 5,000 Mud members $61k, ARB would have an IPO.

Agree 100%. My neighbor sold his Fj62 with 338k miles for $28K on BAT after 22 years of ownership. That price, you can get a very nice 100 series.

Friend of mine sold his land Cruiser on BAT for $73K. You can get a 200 for that.

As you said, cars are illogical decisions. If they weren't, I wouldn't have 13 Land Cruisers, with 2 drivers!!!!

Peak insanity!! $7.00+ gas that's coming will cure this disease and unfortunately leave you with a $61K yard ornament because you can't afford to drive it and can't get a single bid on ebay.
