Saw this on BaT and figured I'd share it here. Surprising to find an ultra low mileage 100 series these days. This is not my vehicle and I have no affiliation with the seller or BaT.

google "toyota land cruiser brush guard". Simple and straightforward to find equal/equivalents.

Also search on Mud for its more common name - damage multiplier.

Appreciated. While I'm not interested in owning such a pristine low-mile example, I do like following these auctions. The first bid was a ridiculous $39. Fortunately an astute member called that bidder out and immediately countered with $25,000. This one's off to a healthy start.

I cant get over how clean this undercarriage is.
Wow! That just highlights why I'm not a buyer for such a gem. I'd be wracked with guilt from just driving it in the rain.

Looks like it was dry ice blasted underneath. That's the only time I've seen them that clean.

I've never heard of dry ice blasting. Does it remediate rust or just clean things up?

Fair point. Seems likely given the residue showing on the running board supports. Still impressive it can clean up like that. All the electroplated hardware gleams after being cleaned, which doesn't usually happen, even after a CO2 blast. There's always some minor corrosion or dulling on even a desert truck.

Check out the PCS 60 on youtube. Too bad it is $45k and takes another $45k in equipment to have it up and running. Amazing results. They can take off undercoating with ease and use the same machine to take ink off a business card without damaging the paper.

I'd feel guilty for modifying that thing. Needs more scratches and a few 100k.

I think the new list price was about $65k for the 2002's. Not far off from new, ignoring inflation.

I paid $33k for my 2000 with 49,000 miles on the clock in 2002. After putting another 250k trouble-free and enjoyable miles on that rig, I'm pleased with that deal.

Can't find the listing anymore, but recently there was a 2003 with ~35k miles. It was in Hawaii, but given this high water mark, even with the expense to ship it to the mainland would still be less, I think.

A 2006 LX with 18k miles on it just popped up on Cars and bids.

It's amazing to see these low mileage vehicles show up on the market. Like going back in time.

Not the same level of undercarriage porn on the C&B one as the 2002 had. Maybe they should dry ice blast it to encourage another $10k out of the final bid?
