think you could take a picture of the hole left when you take the bar off? Im starting to actually consider the sahara bar now that i know its possible to remove that ugly loop.

Well I finally got the front bumper painted. I needed a windshield and there were some minor places that needed attention before I put it up for sale, so I got the body shop to paint the front bumper.
I think it looks awesome.
The Cruiser is for sale, link is in my signature. Pass it around. New owner will save 4-5K on add-ons if they get this low mileage rig.

My whole reason to sell is that I am about to have to put a lot of miles on this Cruiser in my new job. I lost my company car which allowed me to only put around 6K on it since I bought it a year ago this month.
My thoughts are to get rid of it while it is still a "low mileage" Cruiser and then take the cash and get an 06-097 Taco Double cab.
Anyway, driving it around these past two days makes me wonder if I am making a big mistake. This Cruiser is tight as the day it rolled off the floor. It drives good, turns heads and really gets pretty decent mileage considering its size and V8.
Oh well, I will keep it for sale, just don't expect a discount off asking price. It is worth every penny.

Honestly, if you can not get the money back out of it, it does not make sense to sell it at a loss. Rather enjoy it. Who knows in 3 years when it has 130k miles on it, you might want to take it on the Rubicon

I might just do that. I will take a little loss, but the listed price is just about all I will take. Otherwise, I am going to drive it. It is really cool.

You can write off those miles, too. Yeah I know, not close to the same thing, but might be the little kicker that sways you over into keeping that sweet truck.

I have had a company car for the last 10 years, just got promoted and relocated (to the sum of 75K in relo expenses) and then my job position was eliminated. I was not expecting it. I was using this car as a weekend ride, go on a date ride, light wheeling rig. I dumped a lot of money into it thinking I could keep at the 6-7K miles a year that I did this past year and in 3-4 years I would have a REAL low mileage 100 series that would really hold its value.
That said, now that I will be driving a lot, (one of my biggest new customes has businesses in 7 states) I am thinking I should sell it while it is worth something and use the cash to buy a new Taco that I can run the miles up on and still be in warranty.
I dunno. I am nuts.
I think you should consider an alternative. If you are driving a ton, don't spend money on a new truck or drive the landcruiser. Running the numbers, I get about 25k work miles a year. To drive the LC that much at $2.50 gal at an average of 14mpg, you will spend $4500 in gas per year. If you were to buy a car that averaged 30mpg, this cost would drop to $2000, so a savings of $2500 per year.
Go find a used Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Accord, or Volkswagen TDI for $10k, drive the crap out of it for 4 years, and it will pay for itself. You will still have to pay the extra insurance and maintenance, but the cost will not be much.
