Guys, I'm pretty sure the grill from the various years is fine with any light. The same goes for the fender. The point of interference is the little painted valence below the headlights. In 98-02, it goes all the way across including under the grill. In 03-05, they are not under the grill, but have the same shape as 98-02 under the lights. For 06/07, the pieces changed shape slightly under the lights.

And if only we can get 15 interested people I would even buy another set just in case something bad happens to my headlights...or you know, just do kyoso23's conversion with oem parts

In the thread Kyoso23 did on updating his rig with the newer headlights, grill, and valence, he stated he had to trim the fender. So, that is where that idea is coming from.

Pretty sure I'm going quad. 3 projectors looks a little extreme. I'm still wanting 3 a little just because I can...funny thing is 3 actually fit better than 2. I'll keep you guys posted on my progress. Should take a few days to get them mounted and a few days to get everything painted and buttoned up. It will require 80% of the housing to be cut away and redesigned.

I kinda want you to try the triple setup just to see how it comes out. Looks pretty cool. Extreme, but very cool.

Started on the low beam tonight. I still need to fab the brackets, ballast mounts, etc. This is all you get until Wednesday :flipoff2: I feel bad cutting a Koito headlight apart :crybaby:

For a very short time (limited run), they made that style Depo light (looks like 06/07), but it was a direct drop in for a 1998-2005.

That's why I said "small hurdle." ;)

I would try an email to the seller. If a lot of folks are interested. They may make an exception.

Sorry, but I'm not really digging it... Did you paint the trim ring or something? Looks metallic gray.

I did. Tis is a spare headlight that has a lot of stuff wrong with it. I painted it because the inside was flaking. Now since I know it will fit I will retro my good headlights and not paint it. I do like the gray. When I install it on my truck that will tell me if I want to keep the gray. I'm also contemplating on the Mini in the bottom. I looks much better with 1 large projector. I'll post a photo of the single projector in a minute. They are on my phone not iPad.

Looks better with one rather than the two stacked on top of each other.

What if you pushed the top low beam outboard about 1-1.5" and then put the mini a little closer inboard, so they "angled" inward like the shape of the light housing itself?

Pushing the low beam outboard would not work. The reflector mount is in the way. I really don't think I'll be keeping the Mini. It sits so low in there I'm almost positive the ARB bar work will block it.

Made some progress. This is one headlight. 3rd picture shows the beams, not using the right bulbs/ballasts as the first two. Still tweaking everything.

2000UZJ,

Any ideas on a plug-n-play HID high-beam solution for LX470 (realizing one would probably have to disable to DRLs...)?
