Need to make room for the GX470 we just bought, so the 100 series must go. The truck has lived in AL, FL, or MS its whole life, so no rust. I want to fix all the “cons”, but I realize I don’t have the energy and need to focus my time and efforts on my 80 series. It’s a road-worthy truck that I’ve driven from Oxford, MS to the Gulf Coast and back twice in the past month (350 miles one-way). I have an AutoCheck and CarFax that show no major accidents or salvage/flood title.
Let’s start with the “Pros”:

Let’s start with the “Pros”:
- Timing belt, water pump, heater hose T pipes, thermostat, radiator hoses, Toyota red coolant, and fan clutch replaced at 200,000 miles
- Old Man Emu 2860 rear springs (2” lift) / 1” torsion bar lift in front
- Center Diff Lock and low range work
- Body is in good condition for an 18-year-old vehicle (except for the rear hatch and tailgate)
- Leather is in good shape except the driver’s armrest
- Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S 275/70R16 tires are 2 years old and in great condition
- 3rd row seats
Now the “Cons”:
- Damage to the rear hatch and tailgate, it shuts fine though. Someone-who-shall-not-be-named backed into my 80 series. Doh! All the rear lights work fine though.
- Driveline clunks/vibrations
- Leaky CV boot.
- Sticky brake caliper
- Slightly warped rotor(s), but new front pads.
- Missing one cross-bar on roof rack
- Only one non-master key
- Driver’s armrest is worn
- Surprisingly, the passenger seat is worn more than the driver’s side (may have been re-covered)
- Radio is currently not working (JVC aftermarket).
- Some interior panels are loose, but everything works
