Hello everyone, I have a 2000 and a 2002 Land Cruisers and now both of my LCs are seriously leaking water onto the driver side floorboard when it rains. The leak appears to be near the dead pedal near the drivers door. Any thoughts about the leak would be much appreciated. Both LCs have original sets of running boards.Thank you, in advance.

First thing I would check are the drain tubes on the sunroof. After that a possible leak on windshield! Good luck!
What he said. Get a trimmer line and snake it into the front vents on both front corners.

Then open the front A pillar, undo the front visor, and pull down the front headliner a little bit. Also remove the driver foot kick panel. Then while someone sprays the front windshield and front root, watch where the water is intruding.

Thank you both for the thoughts and responses.

I’m currently dealing with the exact same issue. I cleared my sunroof drains. If your sunroof by chance doesn’t open you can open the shade, pop off the two plastic trim pieces on the left and right of the sunroof and remove the 4 bolts. That’s what I had to do to clean my drain ports. I used 4 large zip ties and held them together and got them about a foot into the drain. Worked super well. I still have the leak in your exact spot. From my experience if it’s hitting the dead pedal it’s going to be the windshield. @reconranger suggested to me to use some sealant on the upper top left corner of the windshield to seal the leak. If the sunroof drain doesn’t fix your issue I’d take off your A Pilar trim and do some testing with some water bottles pouring it onto that corner of the windshield and see if any drips in. That’s what I did to figure it out. Feel free to contact me about any questions or answers you find since I’m in the same boat.
