Will 18" wheels off of a 2008 Landcruiser fit on my 95? I found a set of factory take offs for $500 with hardly any miles on them and was thinking if they will fit I will ditch my 03 17" wheels and rock the 200 series for the winter, wheels and tires for $500 seems like a good deal. Any insight would be great I have been searching around but cant find a solid answer anywhere! Thanks Guys!

The 200 has 5 lugs the 80's have 6. Sounds like a good deal though.

Well thats all the answer I needed! Thanks.

You're welcome. Would've been nice if they kept the 6 lug pattern with the new Toyota trucks. A lot of the new wheels would look good on our Cruisers.

How were you using 2003 17" wheels on your '95? They're 5-lug wheels, and your '95 has 6 lugs.............

did you not fully comprehend his question?

:hhmm:

You could run these with wheel adapters, which you would need if they were 6 lug to correct the offset.

did you not fully comprehend his question? :hhmm:
Yes, I fully comprehended his question; however, I made the assumption that, since he was asking about using factory 200 wheels on his '95 80, he was also referring to '03 100 wheels. Since he was talking about two different series of Land Cruisers, I erroneously assumed he was also talking about wheels from an '03 Land Cruiser, which are, in fact, 5-lug wheels.........did you not fully comprehend my legitimate question back to him?

explain how you made the leap from his question about 2008 model wheels fitting on his 95 to your question about 2003 model wheels...because, no, apparently I did not fully comprehend your question back to him.

as already posted, 6 lug to 5 lug adapter/spacers would be the only way to get the wheels on the 80 series.

Anyone know of a fair priced adapter?
I think DNP was saying why would I ask about the 08 wheels when the 03 wheels are the same? My dad bought the 100 series wheels and didn't think to make sure they were the right size/bolt pattern before he dropped them off in my garage. He even thought there were 16's! Just one of those guys who ignores ALOT of details. So I ended up with them wasting away in my garage leaving me jealous of how cool newer LandCruiser wheels are and wondering what I can do to update/replace my worn stockers.

IMHO...

5 bolt hole wheels on adapters to mount to a 6 bolt hole truck is a real bad idea. It winds up weakening the wheel connection twice AND puts a 5,000 - 8,000 (depending on stuff) pound truck on 3,500 - 5,000 lb wheels.

A real bad idea in my book. Aesthetics are fine and all, but when you start doing them in a way that makes the truck any less safe, be sure to think real long on it.

You mean OTHER than the fact that he mentioned both of those in his initial post?

I must've missed something. Do you see any reference to wheel spacers in his original post to which I responded? I asked him my question BEFORE the other person referenced anything about wheel spacers..........Basically, you just felt the need to ask a smarta** question in post #7, even though my admitted mistake was understandable.

If you want something new you might:
Try to sell the 100 series wheels on here or ebay and repaint yours if you like them and just want a newer look.
Or you could try to sell both sets here or ebay and upgrade to newer wheels off a Sequoia, Tundra, newer 4runner, Tacoma, Lexus Gx470. There are always some on ebay and you can usually find a decent deal. Just make sure they are Toyota's 6 lug pattern and 16 inches or larger wheels. There are some 15's that fit but im not sure about them.

why do you assume that?
when I wrote "as already posted", I made no reference to when it was posted. I never implied that you would or would not have known about the spacer/adapter solution.
I simply made a statement concurring with the already mentioned solution.
:meh:

as for my "need to ask a smartassed question", I only assumed by your question that you had missed posts #2 and #3.

I think if you have enough backspacing, the 15s will work. The issue, IIRC, is that the calipers on the rear come in contact with the edge of the 15" rim. I suppose spacers could work, if one chooses to go that route.

Grinding the rear calipers however, (although I've seen it done) is probably not a good way to go...

ahhh. good to know. thanks.
