We can start another list. Same rules apply as far as price/members!
I am in if you start a new list. We need then 39 more people.
Well, I tried installing them in my '13 LX, but no luck. They have a different cut out. It was worth a shot. If anyone wants to buy them, I'll sell them at the original group by price and I'll cover the shipping.
No worries. I'm sure someone from the new group buy would like to get theirs sooner rather than later. If not, let me know. They'll sell!Unfortunately, everything appears to be a little different. The brackets may work, but not the cover. I'll get some pictures this weekend. I bet I can find someone to buy them from me if it doesn't work out. I don't really want you to refund me as I took the risk of it not fitting and it's not your fault/problem. It would be cool if you were able to make something fit, though.
A hint on disconnecting the plugs.
The plugs have releases that are located on the inside (between the plug and the seat) when the screen is installed. They are almost impossible to access with the screens installed, even using tools.
So:
1) undo the 3 mount nuts, remove the ground wire from the bolt and leave it dangling.
2) pull the screen back off the bolts, with the plugs still attached, and lean it back 45-90 degrees with one hand. Screen side rotated down. You should have just enough slack to do this.
3) this should give you enough room to access each plug's release buttons with the other hand
4) if the release buttons don't cause the plugs to release with a small amount of force, it is likely because of tension from the cables on the plugs is binding the release mechanisms, try to position the bottom of the rotated screen closer to the mount to give the cables a bit of slack.
5) re-attach ground on center bolt using nut, as leaving dangling ground wires is generally a bad thing.
6) install cover
Forgive me for the stupid question, but what do the release buttons look like? I don’t work on electrical stuff so I’m looking at these plugs and wondering where I should push and how hard I should push to get the plug to release. Do I need to press somewhere with a small screwdriver? Do I just grab it somewhere with pliers and pull?

You shouldn't need a tool and too much force tends to make the process more difficult or break things. Both connectors I believe are press down to release types (see the pdf in the previous post). At least I was pressing when they released.
I'll often push the connectors together first so the release button is under less tension when disconnecting such plugs. The part you press only moves very slightly to release as the catch mechanism is maybe a 1/16 of an inch. There is sort of a zen to get the locking mechanism to release first, and then holding it released while pulling the connectors apart, which even released often requires some force.
The release button/arm is on the side of the plug facing the seat back when the screen is mounted. Only way I found to get to it with fingers was to remove the bolts and pull the whole screen back.
Thanks. So I guess the Tool Man Tim approach of attacking it with a set of pliers is counter-productive.I couldn't tell where to press so knowing it is on the side that faces the seat back is a big help. Thanks, again.

So, I'm sure the monitors on the 16+ LX are the same as the 16+ Landcruiser. On my year, the screens are small and different.Darn! When I posted earlier in this thread that the part numbers for the lx and lc monitor bases were the same, I assumed the covers would be too.
