I am new here but looking to either buy these at full price or will buy someones screens they pulled. Serious, please email me directly @ davidfishvw@gmail.com for quickest response.. I work for a dealership that just got a 2016 LC in inventory with a broken screen and Toyota thinks these $100 screens are filled with platinum, gold, and diamonds I suppose. Thank you.

Haha thanks bud. I have been in this industry for 12 years now. Things always evolving. I have 3 of these 2016 LC's in stock currently, as they are good vehicles. Just this one is giving me a fit over this screen lol . If you ever need anything I ship cars all over the country. I am the Pre-Owned Manager here at Harper Alfa Romeo FIAT Maserati. no one plans on keeping their screens for resale etc in the future? I will just box up and keep incase I ever want to use in the future.

I’m looking to buy removed screens too. I have a very creative 4yo daughter that drew a lovely landscape on a screen with her lucky rock.

Thanks for the emails guys. I bought the delete kit on the site and a set of tvs because of everyones quick responses. Great group... Ill be back if I need more stuff. :)

Wow, they look great! My Land Cruiser is complete again. :bounce: They work perfectly with the Toyota headrest tablet mount, so when my son borrows the truck to head out with his family, the back seat will have iPad Pros installed at each headrest which will be MUCH more useful than then OEM monitors. AND, removable in 2 seconds when they get back. Thanks David!

Mine showed up a day or two ago and went on this afternoon.

Very well packaged, impressed that you did instructions for a forum limited run group buy. Hardest part of the install was finding the releases on the screens plugs. A little fiddling with the bolts after that and they were on.

Thanks!

I just removed my screens and installed my covers. Took about 5 minutes a screen. First, the quality of the covers is super nice. Very thick plastic that matches the back side plastic of the LC seats. Looks OEM. Second, like everyone else, the only hard part was disconnecting the blue connector. I used needle nose pliers and got one easy and actually broke the other one.

Last, I noticed that you can make the covers as "flush" as you want to by taking two hands and pushing on them firmly and bending the OEM brackets slightly inward. Finally, here are a few install pics. One from further away on drivers side and one showing the passenger side after pushing it flush.

Many thanks to @TrekboxX

Those things weighed a ton! Truck has so much more room in the back without them.

New to this thread. How do I buy the covers for the ugly holes when I remove screens on a 17 Lc? Thx.

Also, as a relevant aside, you may want to check your inbox and alerts for your account. You were tagged in the first post of this thread several weeks ago as someone interested in the covers. You may be missing other messages and alerts if you don't check once in a while?

This is partially why group buys like this aren't awesome for the vendor. There were a number of people who were "in" who I haven't heard from since...

It's all good. I made their covers. They are $250/set now, unless we get another group buy. But I probably won't have time for that for a few months. Booked into June. For those of you who posted, I'm glad you like them!

A hint on disconnecting the plugs.

The plugs have releases that are located on the inside (between the plug and the seat) when the screen is installed. They are almost impossible to access with the screens installed, even using tools.

So:
1) undo the 3 mount nuts, remove the ground wire from the bolt and leave it dangling.
2) pull the screen back off the bolts, with the plugs still attached, and lean it back 45-90 degrees with one hand. Screen side rotated down. You should have just enough slack to do this.
3) this should give you enough room to access each plug's release buttons with the other hand
4) if the release buttons don't cause the plugs to release with a small amount of force, it is likely because of tension from the cables on the plugs is binding the release mechanisms, try to position the bottom of the rotated screen closer to the mount to give the cables a bit of slack.
5) re-attach ground on center bolt using nut, as leaving dangling ground wires is generally a bad thing.
6) install cover

I cannot emphasize how happy I am with it enough. I hated those things. My kids were always hitting them with backpacks and school gear and sports gear. Covers look great. Thanks again man.
