Can't you graft a 200 series front end to your Prius?

Not sure there will be enough room after I stuff an LS in it once the hybrid bat dies

Yet I have 1/3 as many posts.....probably due to my advanced age.

I’m glad they give you wifi access at your senior care facility at least!

Thanks a lot for the excellent information @cruiseroutfit !

I'm looking to do the same thing for my 2015 LX570 as I much prefer the 2016+ Land Cruiser front end.

If you could provide part numbers for the following it would be super useful!
  • Hood
  • Fenders
  • Inner Fenders
  • Core Support
  • Headlights
  • Grill
  • Bumper
Also, were you able to preserve the parking sensors functionality after the swap?

Lastly, there are many after market kits which upgrade the look of the 2008-2015 LC to 2016+ LC:

Facelift Conversion Body Kit for TOYOTA Land Cruiser FJ200 Retrofit Assembly (2008-2015) to 2016 LC 200 Models | Entuning - https://entuning.com/body-kits/complete-kits/facelift-conversion-body-kit-for-toyota-land-cruiser-fj200-retrofit-assembly-2008-2015-to-2016-lc-200-models/

In your opinion, would the above kit work on the pre-2016 LX570 as well?

I'm still undecided on AHC vs Non-AHC honestly

I genuinely like my AHC. Being able to get a pretty significant amount of height/clearance off road without needing to be that tall on-road is super nice. I also really like the load leveling since I don’t carry much weight around town but definitely load up some cargo and/or a trailer often enough I wouldn’t be happy with it sagging under that weight.

Also, if you hate it you can always rip it out.

Or get in a minor wreck and use the insurance money to fund the swap. Given the price delta between LX and LC, if you really want the LC look, bodywork swap may actually be the more affordable option.

Off all of the lighting money on fire mods I’ve seen come across mud, this might be the biggest bonfire of all. Just sell your rig and buy a Land Cruiser.
Is it really that bad though? The parts seems to be run about ~2k online for the front end swap. Painting would be another grand and I can install it myself.

The kit I linked is also around 2k and the Chinese sellers indicated they can paint it prior to shipping. It's a simple self install as well.

I’d personally rather have something with OEM fit and finish over something I did myself or a Chinese seller.

You don’t need to convince me though — to each their own.

Truer words were never said.
