Howdy I live in Australia but I love 40 series Toyotas. Drove them in the early 70's when I worked for Exxon in Australia doing exploration. I picked these 2 up for a grand total of $300 and a tank of diesel to bring them home. I am going to make 1 ute (Aussie for tray back) out of the 2. Rusty one is 1977 petrol ute, yellow one is 1980 diesel ute.
The yellow one is now stripped back to bare every thing, and lots need to be done. The rusty one is next to be stripped down, and then I will pick the best out and start rebuilding. I am going to resurrect the High side tray as they are genuine Toyota, will stick with 7.50xR16 tyres and rims and diesel power. Lots of work but its all good (clean) fun and skun knuckles so far.
