Well neither locked carrier I bought has the slots for the c clips so I can't use them in my rear axle. That's kind of a downer.

I think my problem is that I cannot get the cross pin out because the 4.88 ring gear is so thick. If I can get the cross pin out I can do it. Just used to a Dana axle LockRight that has the slots for the c clip.

Yeah I need to get the cross pin out past the larger 4.88 ring gear

I think I know how I just have to get something to pop out the springs. Then the pin should come out.

Looks like I need to clearence the ring gear to get the pin out. I am guessing the guy I got it from didn't have a c clip axle so it was setup all on the bench

Yeah I looked at that. I need to get the pin out by clearencing the ring gear.

Just the rear one needs to have the ring gear ground a tad to get the pin in/out. Check them both to make sure one isn't already done. If the PO had a full floater rear he would not have had a need to do this.

Yeah I checked them several times to make sure and neither are ground. Also the slots are not lined up making me think he had a full floater.

I'm thinking about this lockrite and I think we got Bomar's in his 62 without grinding. Let me check with him.

Still will not work ground down? I had a pin stuck and boss man loosened Carrier bearing and got pin out... the c clips are a bitch but will go in.

News flash! They are Aussie lockers, hence my confusion. Rear is in.
