Its about normal from what I have seen but they were as low as $6.8k and $4.5 for a short motor 2-3 years ago. If you already have a 1HZ it would cost $5k to rebuild.
If the pump needs doing ,add another $1500.
If I had $8.5K to play around with,I might look for a rebuildable 1HD T or 1HD FT

New long or short motor(I think that long is a 1HD T) and the box as proof
Hey, I have one of those boxes! It's the biggest Toyota parts box I've ever seen.
I paid $3500CDN shipped two years ago for a new short 1HD-T but it was a special deal.
How much did the engine cost
New Factory New, I dont want one I just know where to get them

Yes but tired 1HD T are hard to find. I saw one last week for $2000.It was a long motor with "bottom end problem"

I have a few of these engines, I want to keep one for a build and sell a few.
Yes they came out of hzj79 trucks that were up dated to tier 2 cummins.
