The photo was the return banjo.
The pump ate itself internally.

You know we have not had a single issue with any of our pumps. All of sudden there is 1 with yours. I have it on good authority that you have pulled this pump down to check all the parts, thats warranty void right there.
It is EXTREMELY unlikely to be the pump. There's not much that can really go wrong there. And we do give a 2 year warranty. It will most likely be some silly problem somewhere. Just frustrating trying to find it.
Havn't you had this pump stripped down?
Mate- Your attitude sucks, if you own XXi industries I'd suggest you stop posting on behalf of XXi industries on here! You have lost a customer in me, and put me off buying any of XXi products for my 80, even though they appear to be the ducks nuts. No confidence you would honour a warranty without a major fight/hassle = not worth the hassle. Factory airbox and intercooler to stay on mine for now....You know we have not had a single issue with any of our pumps. All of sudden there is 1 with yours. I have it on good authority that you have pulled this pump down to check all the parts, thats warranty void right there. Never the less if it was put back together properly there still shouldn't be an issue. We give a 2 year warranty with them (twice as much as anywhere else). If you are convinced it is the pump, don't start pulling it apart. Send it back over.

I would not think you could have a warranty issue with an air box.
BigBoy = XXI. Just based on his postings in here and in the 80-Series forum, he is not someone I would want to do business with.I have to agree with The Big Boy. The pump should have never been opened by anyone other than him.Its his work and IF it is faulty ,he should have been the one to find out why and rectify it.
Yeah , I know the costs of sending fuel pumps back and forth is a killer , but thats what you get when you buy vehicles or engines not intended for your market.
Edit , I dont know who Big Boy is or who he works for or what his relationship with XX1 . I have never heard of either of them until recently.
Opening the pump you mean a full tear down?I have to agree with The Big Boy. The pump should have never been opened by anyone other than him.Its his work and IF it is faulty ,he should have been the one to find out why and rectify it..
