Hi,

Just got my 1hz conversion up and running.

Its got a gt2876r on a highmount manifold, 3 inch exhaust, 600 x 300 x 76 intercooler.

Currently only running 10 psi at the intake manifold, Goes about the same as my mates landcruiser running a dts turbo @ 15psi. Very little soot out the exhaust even off boost. Egt's unknown as I have been waiting for my gauge adapter.

How far can I push this set up reliably and what kind of figures can I expect.

I have no rev counter as the motor is out of a DX 80 series. Full boost is somewhere between loud and screaming :hillbilly:
The manifold looks like something that was made in a backyard shed works tho. Here are some pics, can get more if you would like.

thats a big turbo ,how is the lag. exhaust manifold looks good are you going to enlarge your intake manifold next?

Its a little laggy compared to smaller non intercooled set ups. The low end torque of the 1hz does make up for it at low rpm. Its miles better than the 3f that was in there before.
Getting a better flowing intake manifold and improving the piping is something I would like to do but there is lots of more important things to fix/improve on it.

Good work. You might need some insulation between the turbo and the bonnet or you'll fry the paint

Good work Neil, that looks like the same intercooler I want. Any chance you could get a few photos of intercooler mounting and where the piping enters under the headlights? TIA

I believe the exhaust housing is .63
Took it for a long drive, egts @ 100km/h are 200 ~ 220c. Peaked @ 450c
I'll get some more photos of the piping this afternoon

Yeah post turbo temps. How about moving the probe to get a real measurement?
