Hi

See attached. I found an 80 series with a mechanical fuel pump 1HD-FTE, but I prefer the original setup of electronic fuel setup. I don't have knowledge of how to revert to the original setup and what's involved.

Can anyone guide me?

why do you prefer to go electronic? what benefits do you see?
your gonna have a whole bunch of wiring and computer to mess with.

Pick up an FSM and ECU and wire diagram there's gonna be a lot to convert.

I'm not sure if the mechanical conversion was done properly.

Plus I wanna unichip for performance and fuel economy.

So while difficult, it is reversible?

If your not sure if the pump conversion is don’t correctly. What are your symptoms?

Does it run?
Does it smoke?
Does the pump leak?
Have you checked injection pump timing?

Is it reversible yes. - Depends on how much money and time you have.

You can tune a manual pump for both fuel economy and performance with just basic hand tools no chip needed and get really good results.

It smokes a little. I'll send you YouTube link
 
You can tune the mechanical pump quite easily, whilst you can't get quite the control that you can with a unichipped FTE, you'll be able to make very similar power.
