Does anyone in the Winston-Salem area have valve shims that they would be willing to part with? Unsure what thicknesses at this time.

The machine shop is doing a valve adjustment after the valve grind on my cylinder head and does not have all of the required shims.

Just trying to find something fast to keep the process rolling, need this head ASAP.

Typically the machine shop will “tip” the valve stem to match the existing shims so that they don’t have to change the setup. It’s cheating, but acceptable.

Update : Kevin face ground shims and got the intake side done yesterday. Finishing it up today.

I actually saw him at his son's house yesterday while we were hanging out and he said it's looking good. But that HG had definitely been blown a while. It was pretty bad around cylinder 1.
