I am selling the engine out of my 1997 40th anniv. 80 series.

It didnt have any oil pressure and was starting to knock. Could use a rebuild.. No overheating or any other issues.

I purchased a used 100k engine. Donor truck had 180k on it.

Located in West Palm Beach, FL asking $1200 obo..

Are you considering parting it out? I need a wee little part from the throttle body.

Not at this time.. maybe in the future if no one gets the entire engine.

id offer $120......but considering my last low mile cruiser was $600.......you might factor current "running" not blown engine prices on car-parts.com to get an idea of the "going rate" to come up with an effective asking price. ive sold a few high miler engines in the $400-500 range as an fyi. In general putting a reasonably- ballparked asking price helps to convey to potential buyers that you are interested enough to do so and potentially make the dickering process palateable. Most people dont want to shoot what they deem a reasonable offer of say $250 for a knocking engine when they see $1200obo as its so far off the mark.

what did you score your low mile engine for ?

If you get to a point where you're willing to part out I'd be interested in the head. Let me know....
