Hi guys,

I had problem with my Land Cruiser clutch so i thought about replacing it. At first i thought about buying oem clutch then i saw in known shop in the area that they have an aftermarket pressure plate and friction plate that can be directly mounted to the oem part. They had light weight flywheel but it was out of stock.

the reason to choose it is because the area i goes and how the weather hot in the area so i thought why not. Also cheaper :)

I went and brought throw out bearing, pilot bearing and other stuff oem. I went to mechanic and replaced everything. When he finished, he told me that when pressing the pedal the clutch doesn’t disengage entirely. So he checked the clutch cylinder and fix it. And told go and check the car and come back if there is problem.

I went with car and put it at other shop to fix the ac. After the ac was fixed, i took the car and drove the it. I knew about break in clutch so i drove carefully until I wanted to enter one road and I needed to be fast so i launched pretty hard and changed at high rpm then I remembered the clutch break in.

Later on, I stopped the car then when I wanted to move it at first gear it started to shake it feels like the clutch engage and disengage. I didn’t know is it launching the car did that or I didn’t feel it at first because i was adjusting to the clutch padel (cause i drove couple of kilometers to the other shop).

One point also when I started the car at the other shop i heard sound and I pressed the clutch it disappeared. Like bro i changed the throw out bearing so i don’t hear this sound even before the replacement I didn’t have TOB rattling sound.

At the moment i will go to the shop that replaced my clutch. I contacted with him and told me to come to the shop to check.

at last, i need to know if the shop didn’t install the throw out bearing correctly or is going to stop after time cause one time i stopped the car for 2 months and heard TOB sound but after couple rides it when silent. And about the car shaking in first gear and second is it because it need’s time to go away?
