Hi guys, I guess I'm obliged to create a thread here after surfing and enjoying several of the others'.

My history of Land Cruising started off with a very plain 2003 Prado (LC120) with manual gearbox, and a sporty TTE-box. This car served me well for several years with no problems whatsoever (other than a broken key-cylinder and a rear diff that stopped working after little (none) offroad use).
I mounted in the rear seats after a few years for it to serve as a familycar. I bought the car with a milage at 174.000 kilometers. After five years it was sold with 274.000 kilometers (give or take).

The sale happend in favour of a 2011 LC150 VX. A real step up in terms of everything really - automatic transmission, VSC/TRC, Downhill Assist, keyless and what not.
The car served me well for about a year and about 10.000 kilometers, though maybe not as much personality as the plain 120. The car was standard except for a bullbar with 3x Hella Rallye 3003 "moose lamps". A really bad ass front with xenon and led all over.

But - I'm posting this in the 100-series forum.....

Three weeks ago, I got a fairly good price on the LC150 at the same time as very well kept HDJ100 AT35 was up for sale within my budget. An opportunity I couldn't foresee...
In a very short period of time, my car was sold, the 100 was bought. And here I am, with a 10 year older car. With a real bad ass look, AND personality!

Some work has to be done, the car stereo needs work. As well ass a noicy fanbelt (in cold weather). Being the the two most prioritized tasks.

My entry model, LC120 2003, manual transmission and TTE-chip (204 bhp)

My second landcruiser 2011 LC150 VX, only driven by me for about a year before I "upgraded"

My current Landcruiser - a fantastic 1999 HDJ100 Arctic Truck 35.
More pictrures to come - as I only have owned the car for about a week, I've not had the time to really document this owenership :)

Happy cruising, christmas and new year!

Very nice truck! Would be great to hear more about the conversion to AT35 with more pictures Does it incorporate a body lift - if so could you get any pictures of the body spacers?

I am in the process of planning my own 'Arctic Trucks' style 100 build to run 37s. I'm planning on lifting the body 10cm and using the arches from Fjallasport. I'd be interested to know how arctic trucks lift the body and whether they use braces between the body spacers. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Wow I hadn't see those Fjallasport flares before, they sure are nice! I'd like to see the template to cut the fenders, plus what else is needed to fit the 38's... It's hard to tell if those are 105's or if there's IFS under there. If IFS, I find it interesting that we talk about 35's pushing the components, and they're running 38's in the arctic...

@bug616 the body is liftet 6 cm according to the specs. I am not sure whether anything is done with the suspension. I don't think so (standard AHC).

@yotasavg this is not a 105 :-)

Side-by-side parking close to a fellow cruiser.

Not much offroad experience with this car yet... Other than a unplowed drive way at @TLC Norway on a short visit couple of days ago. And this - flex testing this evening.

Though I must say, I can't get enough of driving this car!

This is an awesome ride! I'm glad you went with a hundy, like you said, a lot more personality!

I'll post the night shot when I get down from the mountain :)

Happy New cruiser year!
