I've finally decided to sell my LX. This car has been in my family since around 2002 or so and the original owner was a close family friend that used it to haul kids around the southeast to swim meets. Most of the miles came in those early years. I replaced the instrument cluster last year and it reads about 125k fewer than what's actually on the car. Right now the car has about 330k actual miles on it but looks and drives like a much younger car. I've been torn on moving on to another car because this one has been such a good car to us and still performs flawlessly. Link to my CL Ad is below. I'd like to sell it locally (St. Pete, FL) but am happy to work with folks here.

I know it's got some miles, but this car runs perfectly. We own a high end European Car repair facility in town and have always kept this car in excellent condition.

Hi there, why was the cluster replaced?
Thanks

Internal failure. One day all of the gauges except speedo and tach started flaking out randomly. They would bounce and sometimes just not read at all. I pulled it apart to look for broken solder joints on the board but found nothing wrong there. I searched high and low for somebody to repair it and found there was only one place in the country that said they could but I was advised by a local company that their reputation was not great. I opted for a used on, which was a chore in itself to find.

Forgot to add that while listed for 12k on CL, I'll offer it for $11k here.

Free bump for OP. I've known/been around this truck since it was new. Always been thoroughly maintained and is an overall very nice truck that's always been in FL. Couple creaks, couple areas where the paint isn't the best, but has to be on par with the best 300k+ milers.

Also, their shop is the only place I'll let touch my cars. They know what they're doing; I'd urge any locals to stop by just to check out what kind of hardware they have in there on a daily basis.

Edit: Kramermic - throw it up on a lift and take some underbody pics.

T belt and pump were replaced at the end of last year. There is less than 5k miles on the car since.

To clarify...this is a FL only vehicle and as you can see by the undercarriage, it's virtually rust free.

Picking up new car tonight. LX needs a new home. Open to offers.
