I've got a lead on a 1998 diesel 'Cruiser, I assume an '80 or '100 series (maybe a troopy) as it seats 10 with A/C and electric lockers for under $15,000 USD.
Anyone interested? I have not looked at it but I can if someone is really and truly interested. I might even go for it myself if I could be ASSURED of the possibility of bringing it back home to Canada when we return.

Located in Guatemala.

Not a 98 as it does not meet the 15 year or older rule.

Thats a smoking good price, damn plitics.

I am in contact with one of my custoemers in South America who is going to drive up in a 1988 HZJ75 in great condition, left seat drive to boot.

If it seats 10 it is a troopy.

As long as it has been treated well, it should be fine. Only problem is, mining companies tend to get them & drive them to the death b4 selling them, so check it out thoroughly b4 you part with the hard earned.

prolly a troppy but could be a 100 series, even my US spec 100 is a 8 pass, if it has the front bench and side facing rear seats it would be 11 pass.

The 78 series is from an underground gold mine. The rock cage is to protect the occupants in the rear facing bench from loose rock above.

This 105 is from the open cut iron ore mines in the Pilbara, and as you can see are get looked after compared to the underground cruiser

Venezuela is part of OPEC so gas is dirt cheap, I don't think they even have diesels there. This is Guatemala, not part of OPEC, and gas is as much or more than in the states, diesel is 30% less than regular gas.
If I could be sure of being able to import it when I get back home to Canada I'd be on it in no time!

I think the 80 was offered through '98 in Japan.

But with all that sump oil poured onto the rust nothing bad could ever happen lol

Must be a big thing underground to make your own plates,Ive seen several recently with 351,vette,5.7ect ect

see the very cool spare tyre carrier on the trayback. I have seen quite a few vehicles from arount the Mt Isa mines area with this tray. The spare is upright behind the cab like where most people have them, but is in a swingout cage that you can roll the tyre in and out of without having to lift it.
awsome.

Morning Rob,
i am assuming that is a swapped in 1HZ engine, right? Toyota started making the HZJ** in 89 and they are registered as 1990. if the engine wasn't swaped in then it will be a HJ75...
cheers
Wayne
