To get on base you need long sleeves, gloves, boots, long pants for clothing. Do you have a base decal on bike? If not you would need a base from pass and I'd.

I have a post decal for the bike yes. You guys to not need a vest or safety belt ?

Technically the rule is if u are visiting from out of the area you don't need all that for a day pass. But I would not try the 5 yr olds at the gate hahah

So Darin all you would need since u have a odd decal is your retired ID.

I'll stop by..I've got errands to run first thing.when are u getting started?

Thanks Darin, appreciate the trip out east to get the transmission back in working order. You are a good man:cheers:

A few more little things, a break in for the tranny, transfer and diffs and it will be ready for the trails.:bounce::bounce2::bounce:

So what was the diagnosis / fix?

 R

The reverse gear and fork slid forward and was keeping the rest of the top case links from engaging.

Hey, we made it through the whole evolution and didn't drop the transmission on either of us:grinpimp:

I forgot to give you your graduation present when you were here. You at SM tomorrow? I can drop that along with your brush guard;)

Yep, it had kicked itself into reverse, and if it would have been a h42 we could of just popped it back into neutral thru the shift tower, but no so on a h55. Just pulled the top cover up a bit and moved everything back into the correct position and it works great.

Glad to hear that's all it was! That almost got me when I installed my h55.

Well, update time.

So far, so good. I have been breaking in the Mark's gears and the RPMs have dropped pretty nice on the highway with the 8% overdrive. The 44% reduction looks to be nice also, hopefully I can get everything broken in and to URE before I move to Va.

However, like everything, there are bumps in the road:doh:

The gearbox has sprung a leak, looks like one of the front seals may have failed, thankfully it is not static, only when the truck is running. So, all my efforts not to have to drop the gearbox may have been in vain:meh: I'll probably top it off and drive it to Va. and drop the gearbox there. The good thing is, it looks like it is not the rear main seal:grinpimp:

Also, when making left turns, when the left rear tire gets light, I get a little squeaking, so I may have to pull the rear drive shaft and re-check the pre-load on the bearings.

Engine is running good, the A/C wiring has some gremlins, but I ran a switched 12V lead to the compressor, so I have A/C until I can figure it out. I hate work arounds, but it be hot outside:hillbilly:

Darin, let me know a weekend you will be around so I can come grap the roof rack. Plus I'd like to see if you can do a little cut and weld work on it to accommodate the RTT if nobody buys it before I leave.
