Time for me to end 30 years and over a million miles of LC ownership, LC number 4 is for sale. I am unsure what the market is for this truck It has 305k miles, The first engine blew at 160k, It cratered due to a casting problem and failure at a plug. We put in a new Toyota engine. It has run like a clock since then,
The good the bad and the ugly.
Good: The truck runs well. It has always started, never been stuck, and most of the miles are on the highway. This past winter Ii drove a 400-mile round trip through the indiana /Michigan snow belt. No problems. A new muffler would make driving much quieter. It recently passed Illinois EPA testing. The interior has no tears. It;s just old.
Bad and Ugly: Tailgate upper lift should be replaced, A/c leaks, and hood and roof above windshield have rust. Needs new muffler. Power antenna on the 80's has always been a problem.
This would be a good trail machine. It is a good grouse hunting vehicle.
I would appreciate any guidance any of you may provide about what is a fair price for me and the buyer.
