Not mine, its in Santa Fe, NM. Talked to lady owner and she bought it from original owner, it should be an original NM cruiser. Don't think it is locked though based on her trying to find the dial. Also don't think its been offroad much if at all. Looks nice though.

97 Toyota Land Cruiser SUV

Sure is...and advertised not only as an LC, but a 40th Anni. - Which is somewhat more deceptive than just calling a 450 an 80. And they called it a Limited Edition...
IIRC no Limited existed, just a CE - "Collector's Edition" but I don't think it can be a 40th and a CE at the same time...

A lot of folks call anything from 1997 a 40th Anni. not knowing (or knowing and not caring) that Toyota had a specific 40th Anni. Edition. (Sage being my favorite)

I talked to her and she has had it since 2001 she said and really doesnt know much about it; I mean she sounded like she legitimately doesnt know about it except it drives her around town nicely.

Well, the picture isn't a Land Cruiser, it isn't a 40th Anni and it isn't a Limited Edition (TMK). Calling a Lexus 450 and LC fzj80 is one thing (relatively innocuous and generally true)...

Calling a Lexus 450 a 40th anni. fzj80 (people pay a premium for that, especially locked 40th's) is more misleading because it refers to a specific type of fzj80. No such animal on the Lexus side...

So you have to wonder how that information got into the ad...it's not just a case of mistaking the logo on the grill and steering wheel. (and the body cladding)

That, or she's using the wrong photo and doesn't realize it (but I doubt that)

Or, someone installed a bunch of Lexus stuff to a 40th Anni. (which I also doubt, but that sort of thing is possible in the 505)

I saw it earlier today and dismissed the ad as a scam. That you have talked to an actual person makes it seem even more odd. If she doesn't know what lockers are, I doubt she collects enough pics of landcruisers to make a posting mistake.

I called on it due to curiosity. She has a pretty good french-ish accent and seems to be a tad "seasoned" in age. Claims she is a realtor. Maybe someone helped her with the ad. I wasn't paying attention to the pic as I am new to 'Cruisers myself. I was just going off the title. Oh well, I guess disregard.

Not necessarily, Santa Fe isn't too far from ABQ, ask her if you can look at it...make sure to check the VIN against the title. Or have a High Desert Cruisers member go take a look....
I'm sure one of them would be intrigued by the scenario.

If it is for real, then that is a pretty good price for those miles and a great price if it is locked.

Its definitely not locked, I spoke with her too. It is legitimate, she is just a single lady that owns it and is not aware of much more than how to drive it. Very nice lady, she has it serviced by Rick at Toyotech. Contact him for specifics on condition and servicing.

Ya, way nice lady, and has no idea what she is doing with all this. I told her to send me the photos of her 40th and would host them for her so here they are if anyone is still interested. It doesn't have lockers and its definitely not a Lexus.
