I have a 1996 Black / Tan locked FZJ80 for sale in MS. It doesn't smoke at start up or when it's running, and it has excellent oil pressure. The engine is noise-free and it idles and runs great. I have noticed some oil dripping at the front of the engine, and I've not looked hard enough to determine if it's leaking from the cam cover, front cover or the front seal. I always assume it's going to be the "least easy" item to fix, so I'll assume it's the front seal (although that's not where it looks like it's leaking - even if it turns out to be, it's not that difficult or expensive to repair) However, it could be as simple as the cam cover leaking. Also, there is tape on the rubber intake hose, so I presume it'd be the better part of wisdom to replace this as well.

Everything on the truck functions as it should, including PS, PW, PDL, Cruise, lights, A/C, heater, lighting, moon roof, front/rear diff locks engage easily.......and EVEN the antenna!) The black paint is exceptionally nice, especially for a '96, and the factory body panel stickers can be found on all of the body panels........I certainly could have missed something, but I can't find any indication that the truck has ever been painted. The tan interior is worn in places - a characteristic of all but the least-used 80's - but it's not torn. The front seat cover bottom center panel (the one that's most susceptible to being torn)) has been repaired by being lengthened by inserting a panel at the rear of the original panel (underneath the seat back and where you'd sit.) It's something that you'd really not notice, unless you compared the two seats. The passenger side (which hasn't been repaired) has the factory front "rib" in it, while the driver's seat now looks more like a Lexus without the "rib." In any event, whoever did it came up with a pretty clever repair.

I'm sure you'll have additional questions, so please either post them here or send me a PM. KBB Private Party "good" for one with miles/equipment/condition like this is $6,400, but I'm asking $5,900

hey,

I seriously want to look at this truck. I'm moving back to Jackson on Jan 4th - but, I may come there one day this week. Can you send me your ph #???

I had a '96 LC that I sold and have regretted ever since...I may just take this 2004 envoy that I have to carmax, sell it to them and buy this!

Thank you - I can be reached @ 601-527-4444 - name is Adam - I am actually a member of the Jackson cruisers(just never made it to a meeting due to school moving me around...)

Bump for a stand up seller. Buy with confidence folks.

This is exactly what I am looking for! The only thing holding me back on this is the transport cost to California. I will know in a few days how much I will get for my "totalled" '91 (rear axle only) , which will determine if I can afford the transport.

Either way, here is a bump for you.

I'd drive it to you for a price.

This is starting to sound viable after all.

I will keep this in mind, but for now I have to wait for the response from the insurance company, but I can assure you this one will be the first that I look into for a replacement.
