The vehicle does not get used here in the winter months, it is stored away in a heated garage.

Approximately 2,000 miles ago, a complete front and rear axle service and parts were done. This was done at the same time the Nitro Gears and axles were installed. All new seals and gaskets were used. All synthetic fluids were used in the differentials, transmission, transfer case and engine at this time as well.

I have never checked tire interference during flex as I have not had a chance to off-road it yet. Some things came up in my life that necessitate this sale. It is my assumption that if you wanted to heavily flex the suspension in an off-road situation there would be interference. I suspect 37's would do better for complete flex but that was not a concern of mine.

The vehicle goes down the road remarkably well for running on 40's. The 5:29 gearing takes the ratio to within 2-3% of stock (on the gearing tall side)

Everything in the engine, transmission, and drive train not addressed above remains in stock condition.

I am asking $22,000 for the vehicle.

A week of availability and not one question or comment. I must be asking too much. Can anyone share their thoughts on where pricing should be to be more in line with interest? I would consider looking at either a 100 series, LX470, or an FJ40 as a trade vehicle. I have 2 other 80's and a LX470 that are not candidates for restoration/modification but I am ready for my next project.

Thanks for anything anyone can add.

I'm in the market for an 80 expedition truck, my take on this is its a bit to extreme for a practical driver expedition vehicle, It's got a ton of nice parts on it, but If I were to buy it, I'd have to probably switch gears to 4:88s and tires to 37s. also not my favorite color combo, so a paint job would be in its future as well..... My honest opinion would put the price more in the 15k range

I’ve been in recent communication with two mudders with very similar builds with nearly the exact amount of miles (one with a recent top end job) though not quite as big. prices range from 11.5-13k.

Thanks for all of your input. I am certainly open to offers. If someone doesn’t want the rooftop tent I will entertain that.

GLWS, worth the $, great deal.

Wow - what a beast! She's a beaut ! GLWS

I would recommend keeping the asking price just under $20k. New to the forum, but not new to the market.

Btw, what front bumper is that?

Beautiful rig, well done.

Let's talk, I also have a super clean stock 136k 100 Black with Tan leather immaculate condition but for one small stain on the lower passenger seat.
