couple questions:
My work blocks me from Craigslist- can you post up details.
Lockers?
Miles?
Rust?
Headgasket?
Service Records?
Trade for a super clean 60?

I have not replaced the head gasket. I was going to wait until I needed to instead of doing it as a pm.

Here is a copy of the add:

1996 Toyota Landcruiser in execllent condition. Has factory front and rear lockers and 131,xxx miles. I purchased this vehicle in 2005 with approximately 123,500 miles and have added the following since then: Complete Slee Offroad 4" lift kit, ARB front bumper w/ Warn 12k winch, PIAA fog lights, Slee Offroad sliders, Hanna Quality rear bumper w/ swing out tire carrier, Goodyear MT/R-315/75/16 tires, Husky floor liners, HIR front head lights and upgraded wiring harness, CDL switch, LED interior lights, Optima yellow top battery, replaced the factory radio with a Sony head unit and Pioneer speakers, and probably a few more things that I can't remember. The interior is in good shape with no tears or rips in the seats. I also have the 3rd row seats that are not pictured that are in perfect condition. Mechanically, I have had no issues other than replacing the fuel pump in 2007. Other than that, I have only done minor things like fluid baselining, spark plugs, brake pads, O2 sensors, etc. The paint is in good condition, with only a few scrapes and dings, and the previous owner splashed something on the passanger door that looks like dirty water spots that I can't get off. I kept all of the service records from the previous two owners and all of the work I have done and I have a factory service manual. I have never taken this vehicle offroad except a few mild gravel roads and it has basically been used to haul kids and dogs around for the last 4+ years. I have many more pictures that I can e-mail for serious inquiries.

Very nice setup. I'm local and might be able to check it out for any interested out-of-towners...that's assuming I can't figure out a way to buy it myself of couse.

Yes, it has factory lockers and has 131,xxx miles.

Good luck with the sale. Looks like a nice truck with some very nice mods.

Can you email me additional high resolution pictures of the engine bay, undercarriage, interior, basically everything? chrisrademacher at fastmail dot fm Thanks,

Chris

Looks great. Brings a tear to my eye though. My 97 was pretty much identical to yours, sans the rear bumper and sliders. Same color and everything. Bump for a good looking rig and good deal

Thanks for the positive replies. All requested pics have been sent.

Pics have been sent, let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.

First of all I love this truck. It has been great and a blast to own. The reason I am selling is because I have had it for about 5 years and pretty much done everything that I intended to do to it. I had big ideas of wheeling it at Tellico and other places and keeping it forever. Well, they closed Tellico and now every minute of my time is spent working and hauling my kids around to all of their activities. So now I wind up driving it about once a month if I am lucky, and I don't have time or the energy to do much more to it. If I do sell it, I will probably look for a 4-door Taco which would suit my families needs a little better. So if I did trade for something, it would probably be that so if you have one let me know.

How would you rate this vehicle as a cross between a daily driver and a weekend trail rig? I live two mile from work and only occasionally need to drive distances of no more than 150 miles roundtrip. Interested to know your thoughts or those of anyone else who might have a similar setup. Thanks for any information you can supply. Also, please send additional pics to armond@schwinginsurance.com

Have you posted a price If so I must have over looked it. Looks like a nice clean truck. How does it do on steep grades. Did you re-gear for the larger tires?

I have not regeared for the larger tires, but it is tolerable to me as is. I guess steep highway grades are about what you would expect from a very heavy truck, not that great. The price is on the Craigslist ad and it is $ 12,500. Thanks.

Sorry to ask but what is the stock gearing on a 80 series?

The stock gearing on an 80 is 4.10.
