Hey friends!

New member here.. I'm looking to purchase my first ever 1994 80 Series Land Cruiser!

I'm still learning a ton about these incredible machines, and one thing I came across with the '94 is that they didn't have airbags. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this true? If so, are there any potential issues I should be worried about because of this, especially when it comes to ensuring the vehicle?

Thanks!

Haha! That part I’m not as worried about! I’m more curious if I would have any issues getting it insured, as I can imagine insurance companies wouldn’t want to take a risk on less safe vehicles?

I realize I could just call and ask; I just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this.

Just Armour it up and let the lesser cars worry about their air bags. (tongue in cheek)

No, that is how it was produced from the factory. No worries.

Damn, what am I gonna do with my 59 Studebaker? It doesn't even have SEAT BELTS! How can I drive it??????

Don't worry. Even the cops can't pull me over for not wearing my seat belt while driving my Stude. Seat belts were not mandatory in passenger cars until 1964.

It just mean that if I get in a wreck, I have a 17.3% higher risk of dying or being dismembered during the collision.

I've got a 94(no bags) as well, insurance is super cheap. I went liability as it's not my daily driver. I think mine costs me $15 more a month on top of full coverage on my Tacoma.

Getting insurance shouldn't be an issue since these didn't come from the factory with airbags. Not sure what it's like in GA (never been there) but here in OR I see people driving vehicles from the 1960's-80's on a daily basis and those won't have airbags (a few exceptions for late 80's luxury cars).
