Hi:

A guy at work has '94 with 157k miles and wants $7,500.00 I could probably get it for a bit less. The paint and interior is in great shape. He's the second owner and has done routine maintenance: tires, plugs, oil, etc... As far as I know, the head gasket is the original. I'm concerned about the miles. This is average for a 10 year old vehicle but is it too high for a daily driver that I can trust? What specific items should I look for when I go over it with a fine tooth comb?

Thanks,

Bill R.

I've always got my eyes pealed out for 94's.

If you can pick that up for $7000 your right in the ball park.

The plus would be lockers, no rust, no dings, no corrosion on the wheels, original glass, windows roll up strong, drivability, and all electronics working.

I'm sure others will chine in with even more things to look for, but the above are my personal items that are costly.

If you're reading this post (#6) and you haven't read everything in post #2 then go back and finish what Jason recommended.

If you have finished #2 then you can stop reading now 'cause you know everything you need to know. :D
