I am selling my second 1KZ-TE conversion project. I started back in January and have been driving it as my daily driver for the last 3 months. Here's a breakdown of everything that I have done.

3vz swapped with automatic 1KZ-TE bought from ATSTodd. Wiring done by Phoenix Tuning

Replaced the following prior to install:
Timing belt, drive belts, tstat, valve cover gasket, rear main seal, starter contacts and plunger, rad hoses, rad re-cored, 2 new batteries, new air filter, AMSOIL synthetic motor oil.

Mods:
New OME lift with 2" SDORI spacers
ARB front winch bumper
Swapped gears front and rear to 4.10's
New Rear carpet
Installed upgraded SR5 front buckets
Safari Snorkel
Custom 3" exhaust
A/C lines
ADD disconnected (Aisin HUBS)

Overall this is a very clean truck. I spent 4 months searching for the right 4runner to complete the conversion before I landed on this one. The only draw-back is the paint. This is oxidation on the hood and roof. The A/C blows cold (even in 90+ Florida Heat). Trans shifts smooth and all the gauges work as designed.

I am asking $11,000 obo. Located in Boca Raton, FL. I have a lot of time and money invested in this truck and you won't be disappointed.

Bump for this. I have seen and driven several of his trucks, and his stuff is top notch! I haven't seen this one, but I can guarantee you won't be disappointed with it.

That is sweet......esp w/ working AC !!!!!!!!!!

Having lent a hand in the completion of this truck I can vouch for it's driveability and power as well as it's well though out completion, much quicker than the 5 speed manual less recently completed.

Thanks all for the posts. All emails responded to. The title is the gas 4runner. Not an issue in Florida and states that require a safety inspection for the year. A lot of interest. Make offer!

How's it handle on the highway? Over-steer from the lift?

Is the diesel engine considerably noisier in the interior?

How well will it pull a 3300 lbs. trailer?

How difficult is it to find parts or service for that engine and drive-train in the U.S.?

I have had it to 95 mph on the highway.

The suspension drives better than the oem setup. I equate that to stiffer springs and shock rates.

3300 pound trailer will make it work some. I would be more concerned with the brakes.

Parts - most for the engine will need to be sourced from Japan ( I have a good company I deal with) Filter and some fast moving parts can be found in the US. I have yet to have a problem with parts.

Good luck with the sale!

I've got one of his trucks and echo what others have said...you won't be disappointed with the build/quality.

12v or 24v? what is your mpg?

It is a 12V!

I don't have a very accurate fell for the MPG. I would estimate it is around 20MPG. I use it to commute a short distance with no highway driving. I am planning on getting a good reading when I fill it up this time.

I will say if your looking to buy something that gets 50mpg, this is not the truck. These engines are very efficient compared to their gas siblings. However, the main benefit you get is increased power. People have reported getting close to 30 mpg with a 1kz.

Wow! Nice 4Runner. Dude, have you tried to sell this nice truck at Yotatech?

shheeeeeeeeetttt

gawdammitt....where was this last week when I bought a taco... would have snagged this!!!!!!!

What an awesome truck!!! The 1200 mile trip back was great. Casey is a great seller and described perfectly, top notch!

Thanks for a great transaction and ride!
