About 2 weeks ago i checked the tranny fluid level after running truck for about 10 miles and seen that the oil level was low-so I put 1 qt. of oil and the oil level was still lower than the 2nd mark on the dip stick(on the hot side of dip stick). so i put 1 more qt. and the last time i checked the level on the dip stick after running the truck for about 10 miles, the fluid level on the dip stick was now about 1/2 an inch higher than the 2nd mark on dip stick(on the hot side of dip stick)-- so my question is if a slight overfill of the amount on mine would cause any tranny problems, i have taken truck already to long road trip and have driven it daily- also i did not use the oil dexron 2 like it said in manuel- i used dexron 3-does that make a difference.

Dexron 3 is fine. I'm not sure they even make the 2 anymore. If you've overfilled, you should be able to drain a little by unsrewing the plug part the way until fluid starts coming out and then retighten and recheck. Don't think you want to run around with it too full.
