1992 Toyota Land Cruiser for sale. A California car since new, we bought it two years ago in the SF Bay area. We are the second owner. 149,900 original miles. Red with brown interior. No rust anywhere, and the only real physical defect is sun damage to the paint on the roof. It's a nice, clean original FJ80 with the rear fold up split third row seating. Full-time four wheel drive, with a locking center differential. 3FE inline six cylinder that is perhaps the most reliable engine ever made.
Work completed since we've owned it:
- new Bilstein HD shocks
- new silicone vacuum hoses throughout
- new power steering pump (to replace the leaking original)
- new accessory drive belts
- new starter
- new battery
- routine valve adjustment
- new drive flange on the passenger side front axle
- 33" BFG All-Terrain tires with about 20k miles on them
- replaced front brake pads
- brakes bled and fluid replaced
- front/center/rear diff fluid replaced (synthetic)
- routine yearly engine oil changes (mobil 1)
- driver power door locking mechanism replaced
This truck has been absolutely reliable in the time that we've had it, and we really hate to have to let it go. However, since moving from CA, we're finding ourselves driving a lot more and we need something with better gas mileage for the daily commute. A perfect SUV if you're not putting the highway miles on it though...or you just don't care about spending the money on gas. Let me know if you have any other questions.
