Well, I love the truck but I have an urge to build up the FJ75. If i am going to head down that road i should free up some space and coin.

In the back of my mind i think i am going to regret this decision.

The vehicle has 110,000 km on it. The 5 speed is gone in favor of the R141 gearing that works very well with the 2.29 t/case and 35s.
The engine is a 5 cyl diesel with aftermarket mapped turbo that pulls damn nice.
the exhaust is 3" SS front to back.
the lift is 3" and will clear 36" tractor tires or 35" street tires.
The winch is a 12V 8274 running on 24V, fast, strong, reliable.
the truck is equiped with AC (rare for soft tops).
the truck is also equiped with FACTORY E/lockers front and rear. they work flawless and are also unheard of in the soft top 70s.
the truck comes with a removable modified 74 series hardtop. (all the parts are here for the factory soft top)
the cardboard panels have all been replaced with aluminum.
the rear factory seat which is useless has been replaced with 2 side mounted early 40 series seats.
the pyro, oil and boost gauges were installed at time of turbo.

the truck needs detailing. it needs the seats recovered to match front to back and to replace the torn drivers seat.
it is very solid DD, weekend warrior.

the truck is a blast to drive, quiet and cool with the top on, warm in the winter, the stereo sounds nice. i can do an 18 hour drive in it and not feel sore.

fuel mileage is about 11L/100km or 25.5 imp mpg or 21.23 US mpg. (US boys can not legally import this vehicle unless stripped and reassembled as a home built unit)

actually, if you think about it ...
it is on the right side.

duh.

I like that, lol.

Cool truck, I've never seen one like this on the road, good luck with the sale.

came up with that back in 2001 when i imported my first BJ74 ...
it usually brings either a :) or a

:meh:

my wife works for Canada post ...
there is a possibility they could be wrong,
but
if you can't drive RHD then you probably suck at LHD as well.
or so i found over the last decade.

Wayne, don't do it.
You will regret this so much.
This is your wheeler/daily.
The 75 is your work truck!

that is what my helper said too ...
but a hydraulic pop top custom aluminum camper would be so cool on the 75 ...

Ah keep it. You will not find one like it again
I have seen one other one with diff locks.
Drop a 5 speed in it or not
Keep it

it came with a R151 five speed but i didn't like the gearing. easy enough to switch back but i wouldn't ... not with the 35s. if someone wanted to run 33s again then the 5 speed would make more sense.

i understand what you are saying, i am just bored again.

i might reconsider. i took it for a boot yesterday and ... well ... you might be right.
