1991 LC front end accessory noise (1 Viewer)

Hey guys I’ve had a little bit of a front end accessory noise on my 1991 LC. It usually is just at idle there is a little bit of a box of rocks rattling noise.

Also when I floor the car going up a Mountain grade there is a high pitch shreaking.

I’ve finally pinpointed the noise when I take a breaker bar and push the alternator forward toward the front of car car. The noise at idle is gone.

Is there some sort of adjustment or tensioner that maybe needs to be replaced ?

I have all new belts and was going to replace them but I figured I may replace the tensioner(s) at the same time if recommended.

What are your thoughts ?

You running cogged belts? If so, go back to OEM.

Yea I have OEM belts I have not installed yet. Will report back when I get them on
