This truck has never let me down and i would drive it across Canada tomorrow.I am selling to buy an FJ60 which was my first cruiser and still my fav. I love this rig and would keep it if I could afford two vehicles. I thought I would give the good people here first crack and so have not listed it yet.If you are thinking about an 80 this is a great truck at what I believe to be a very fair price. I will get some pics up asap PM me if you are interested.

Thanks for looking,:)

My, my, it's really nice! If I could actually get a second one, I would DEFINITELY buy it.

Apart from lockers (LSD should be good under 90% of circumstances) it has everything I'd be locking for, especially the Webasto heater and the ARB - like front bumper. A plus of course is the new front end seal job and the injection pump service. Nice!

Good luck! I'm sure yo won't need much, it should go fast. Not to Québec, unfortunately. No RHD vehicles are allowed in anymore since April 2010. You can thank the SAAQ and the lobbying of John Scotti, the all powerful luxury car dealer who essentially has the exotic car market cornered pretty much all by himself.

It's not so surprising, after all, Quebeckers are accustomed taking it from the rear. Just look at what is happening right now about Internet Usage Based Billing (UBB)... Where do you think it originated (and where do you think is the least amount of grass roots revolt against it)? From our a proud "Made in Québec", government approved gouging outfit, Bell! Not even the Mob makes the kind of profit and believes the BS it sells its victims (er... I meant 'The Customers and the CRTC')...

OK, OK... Take a deep breath... It is a superb vehicle. I am definitely jealous of the lucky buyer. Good for him. I hope you won't regret it.

Hey Thanks very much for the kind words. I hope I wont regret it either, it is a supurbly designed vehicle and I will miss her dearly but unfortunatley there's only so much money and I am really looking forward to building up a 60 series. I feel your pain that bs must be super frustrating.

If it was possible to register it in Ontario and drive it in Québec, I would, but it's not possible unless your residence is in ON. I know people who have been ARRESTED for doing that. Very illegal, apparently!

A really beautiful 81...really really purty. Right price and right maintenance. Somebody is going to have a sweet truck.

Anyone know if this can be registered in the US?
What MPG does it get?

25 year rule, Man!

you priced it too low, something other jdm 80 series owners don't quite appreciate....:flipoff2:

g'luck with the sale!

real curious how these will go in 2016 when it's ready for US import, i sure would hope that the resale starts to slow down and at least holds at aroune 10G's. if mint CAN lhd diesel 60's ready for us import/25 year can fetch close if not over 10 GS then i can just imagine that a jdm 80 with little to no rust would just go for more...:meh:

Yeah I know what you mean.
Heck i am kinda glad mines gone in that sense....
Market unforunately plummeted once mine left!

buyers market indeedy. what'd your 80 sell for, curious, if you don't mind.

this is a smokin deal for what it already has, i couldn't dare mod mine up the same way and then sell it for just over 10G's. i can only bank on having what i think is the lowest miles 4B auction 80 series in s. ontario, lol.

everytime i see deals like this i just get the urge of flyin outwest and drivin it home...but i can't.

The rig's got a lot of what most people might want to add to it already there while still being very streetable. Also I can't stress how cool the webasto is its nice not to have to rely on plug ins. Especially when keeping a diesel warm is so critical in cold start ups.

Hey guys, i'm leaving on Wed to pick up my new FJ60. I am going to try and do my best to keep my eye on the forum while i'm gone. If my responses are slightly delayed i apologize in advance. The HDJ81 has got to go before I can start building up the 60. Let me know if your interested and we can work something out when I get back.

Thanks
Brimmer
