1991 toyota land cruiser. 277k miles. Head gasket was done around 150k ish. New front wheel bearings, new 15" offroad steelies and 35" mickey Thompson baja mtz tires. New 2.5" old man emu lift with medium duty springs. New snorkel, new old man emu steering stabilizer, new ARB delux front bumper. New alternator. No rust! AC works! Super solid truck. Literally just serviced the front diff, transfer case, and rear diff with toyota 75w-90 gear oil and Changed the oil yesterday. Also has all new exhaust from the manifold back including the catalytic converter.
Now, it is a land cruiser so the rear main seal is leaking. There's no fixing that. Even if you install a new one it will leak. Been there, done that. Also, it leaks oil from where the previous owner had an aftermarket oil pressure gauge installed. I was going to install an oem sensor to see if the original gauge works but never did. The exhaust needs a hanger welded to it because the old mounting points broke off and now occasionally it rattles against the frame. The truck was a trail rig so the paint isnt nice and there are dings and dents here and there. Previous owner also did a half ass job of installing a garbage radio. There's no bracket holding it in so ive wedged some aftermarket cup holders between it and the dash to keep it solid and the cup holders are useful too lol. Front seats are torn. Gas gauge doesn't go all the way to full. When I got the truck it didn't even work. Turns out, whoever put the fuel pump in it just shoved it in there and the float was all bound up so I put it in the right way. I guess the float rod is bent cause when I ground the circuit the gauge goes to full. I dont know if it goes to empty. I refill at half a tank. The passenger side window is janky. It'll go up and down but youve got to help it. I havnt had the chance to pull the door apart and grease everything and figure out why. The windshield is cracked. There is also a receipt in the glove box for a motor rebuild at 195k miles.
