I have a 1991 LC FJ80 3Fe engine and it won't start. I always get help from a friend since I'm not good enough. My friend told me that I need to replace the Distributor contact point set. I search for this part but Toyota has the complete distributor set and do not sell the contact points separately. I need your advice please if the 3Fi engine contact points set is replaceable and where can I find them. Thank you in advance.

I dont believe you will be able to find them. They are replaceable if you could iirc

if no spark, check the ignitor, the pick-up coil could be dirty or worn, but there are no points in the EFI dizzy...

OK, first of all there are no contact points in the distributor so your friend is incorrect. The 3FE uses pick up coils in the distributor to generate pulses which are fed into the engine computer (ECU) which are then fed int the igniter and ignition coil.
Is the CHECK ENGINE lamp illuminated when the key is in the ON position? If not, then this engine will not fire as that is telling you that the EFI system is disabled. Here is a decent flowchart of procedures:

OK, I have replaced the distributor one year a go. The reason that I changed it because the car was not used for over a month and I did not start the car during that period. The part that looks like or located at the same place as a contact points would was rusty and my friend shew it me. I remember that I have searched for one but there was no replaceable part from Toyota so I ended up buying a complete set from the US. Now it happened again and the same part is rusty and the car will not start. The complete distributor is new. I know my friend he is good and did not call it contact point but I did. Do I have to buy a new set or the this can be replaced. Thanks again.

91 should have a very effective venting system for the dizzy. Should not be seeing rust inside dizzy, especially a new one.

As Inkpot stated: Make sure your distributor cap is OEM or similar with the vacuum ports to allow proper venting. I went through this a few years back on my son's 92 and lets just say "been there done that". No vacuum ports=corrosion and about a 1 year distributor life.
