Hi all,
Sadly its time to sell my Cruiser to reduce my fleet and finish other projects.
89 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62
178,000 Miles
Originally My Fathers truck since new. Meticulously Maintained.
Passes California Smog
Factory Service Manual
Original California Car, Father Lived in Reno for about 10 years always garaged. (read totally rust free)
Records and Reciepts from day 1
Tons of original take off parts included (good distributer and two giant tubs of all parts replaced, My dad kept everything as did I,
even original leaf springs)
Work that has been done in the last 5k Miles
Miracle Auto Repaint (I stripped the car of all embelems, grill, bumpers etc.) Paint was faded only painted to refresh, not the best paint
job but protects the original undamaged sheet metal.
OME Lift Kit, Light-Medium Springs
New 31X10.5 BFG Tires
New water pump, hoses, radiator, thermostat, belts
Mean Green Alternator
New OEM Starter
Transmission Flush with Filter and Mobile 1 Synthetic Fluid (transmission in excellent working condition)
Transfer Case Rebuilt with new kit from Curt at Cruiser Outfitters, Macnamara Gear (500 dollar part installed for piece of mind) installed at that time
by George at Valley Hybrids (Transmission output shaft NOT worn according to George)
Headers, (they were replaced with factory exhaust manifolds for ca smog, headers installed when truck was in Reno)
New Brake Master Cylinder from tundra I think, larger bore.
New pads and rotors installed as well as knuckle wheel/bearing work when rotors were replaced by George at Valley Hybrids,
Brake rotors warped need to be turned (I should have installed slotted and cross drilled rotors)
New Stereo as old power button/ volume knob worn on original. Kept original.
Gas Tank done by toyota years ago.
Oil galley plug fix done years ago.
Oil Pan gasket done by Toyota years ago
Dash always covered and not cracked at all
Cold AC Converted to R143a
Roof Cross Bars
Everything works on this truck with the exception of the power antenna which will not go all the way down, windows roll up and down slow.
My Father and I have performed all work ourselves with the exception of the transfer case and dealer items when under warantee.
Everything has been done right, not rushed. Truck has been adult owned and not abused.
Truck runs and drives great, brakes could be better and it has a bit of body sway with the springs but off road it's very comfortable.
I am selling it due to the fact that this is one of 4 cars I have and I don't really use it. Someone who appreciates Landcruisers
will enjoy this clean truck for many years, I get compliments all the time on it.
