For sale - 1989 Toyota 4Runner
Rare opportunity! This is an extremely well cared for 1st generation 4Runner with lots of time and money put into it. You won't find too many like this one. Whether you like exploring in the fresh winter snow, or cruising with the top off on a warm summer night, this rig does it all. We are the second owners and know the history of this rig. I have enjoyed driving it on my adventures, but the time has come for it to move on to another loving owner. I hate to let it go, but I need something newer for family use.
Here are the details- 1989 SR5
Mileage - 18,000 on rebuilt engine, 320,000 on the truck.
Engine and drivetrain - 3.0 V6 with the 5 speed manual. Engine was rebuilt with receipts. It has a full exhaust system with Doug Thorley headers and stock sounding muffler. Runs strong and the V6 cruises down the freeway smooth with good passing power.
Suspension - front IFS with torsion bars. 2" shackle lift in the rear with torsion bars adjusted. The rear spring packs have overload springs for towing.
Other - Factory cruise control. Factory pop up sun roof. Smitty Bilt retro front and rear bumpers. Frame mounted tow receiver. Roof rack system with modular Yakima Basket Case rack and Yakima towers and bars. Tires are in good shape. Brakes are good. All fluids have been changed regularly and maintenance is up to date.
