So.. the story is that I wanted to be one of the cool kids and get myself a 'Cruiser so that I would have a vehicle that would take me wherever i decided to go. I found a good deal and went for it. excited about the new truck I spent $750 on the exhaust and took it on a trip 3hrs away. On the way back I started getting a clacking noise and my oil pressure shot WAY up. I immediately pulled over and left the truck. Lucky for me, there was a caravan and I had a ride back home. I went out to get the truck with a trailer and hauled it back home.

I stripped the top side off the engine hoping for a blown head gasket but, it was the rings on one of the pistons. Gone.

I still have the top off of the engine and all of the parts are in the back of the truck on a tarp. I believe the top half is solid but, I have not tested the head for cracks where that piston had been slapping for those few hwy miles. I've heard you can get a 2f and put the 3fe top side on.. Was also toying with the idea of a sbc conversion.. Well, that was all well over a year ago and I haven't touched it.
Wife wants it gone and truthfully, I don't have the time or the money for it.

When I got it home, I drove it off of the trailer and up my steep driveway (running on 5 good cylinders.) However the engine is apart and it will have to be towed.

The 4wd and tranny worked well, tires are still holding air, interior is good. There is rust but it's not an ugly beast.

The driving I did with the vehicle was all withing the first month I bought it. I never plated it. I have the bill of sale and the title but it is not currently in my name. I didn't see the need to register it if it was just going to sit...

I'm looking for $1000 out of it if I don't have to register it first for the title.

I'm sad to see it go but, it is more sad to see it just sitting there.

Email or PM me with questions or more pics.

Thanks for looking.

I've got a 3fe that I got for my 40, decided to go diesel. I'd let it go for $200 and meet you half way if you wanted to get the 62 back on the road. No guarantee on the motor, but told it was good. (bad trans)

Folsums deal sounds like a decent one. If you choose to part it out, I would be interested in the gauge cluster and dash pad if its not cracked.

Good luck with the cruiser

Thanks folsom50.
It was good to meet you and very cool of you to meet me halfway.
I'm pretty excited about getting that engine in!!
Thanks for the awesome deal.

No problem, I was glad to do it. Best of luck with the motor, I really hope it works out for ya.

Let me know how it turns out.
