Finally time to part with my 1988 bj74. It has been a weekend driver for me and I have kept it in the garage. It has a small leak between the xfer case and transmission. It has a footprint the size of a quarter after it sits for a week. Some rust bubbles appearing around the wheel wells. Transmission shifts well. The previous owner never disconnected the annoying safety beep that goes off when you drive over 62 miles (100kms) per hour so it has not been driven constantly on the freeway over that speed.

Previously serviced at EBI cruisers in B.C.

JDM stainless bull bar has been professionally installed and Hella Fog lights are mounted in the center of the bar.

175k miles
13bt turbo diesel engine
Very new Old Man Emu lift and suspension upgrades (a couple leaf springs still have the original sticker on them)
Very new Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac's with little use
New custom 2 1/2 exhaust sounds wonderful
Safari snorkel with 2 heads (pre cleaner and standard head)
K&N air filter
New front brakes
12-24v converter for the stereo and trailer wiring
Trailer hitch
New windshield
Full synthetic oil change and oil filter less than 200 miles ago

Both the body and frame are in good condition with no fading paint on the hood or the roof. The frame has been undercoated.

Located in Seattle, WA. Title and registration in hand.

$14000

When it is gone your weekends will be awful boring. :)

I agree. I might have to spend the weekends here on the mud looking at pics of cruisers and license plates in garages for excitement :)

You must live a sad, lonely life. :D

Just feeling lonely for the lack of PM's. I'll most likely to post it on ebay in a few days. I'd love to sell to someone on this forum but if not oh well.

Maybe I can perk some people up with the message that I have another bj74 with a factory blue block 13bt that is for sale with not trace of rust and has had most everything rebuilt on it accept the tranny and engine. It has been stored it's life in North America under cover. Low miles at 86k. Lots custom mods. It's clean.

Price lowered to $15,000. Listed on ebay.

I love the 13bt. Drive the cruiser over the weekend and cruised at 70mph without flooring it. Not sure what the top speed would be but i'm thinking you could cruise at 80 on the freeway. Yes the cruiser did beep at me but I turned up the volume and Mr. Cash made me forget about it for a while... maybe 7 minutes.

Here is a pic of the other bj74 I have for sale. It is in amazing condition and the PO really took care of it. PM me for more info.
Also a pic of the 88 bj74 with a stainless/ aluminum roof rack (not fully mounted).

They sure are. Here are a few winch pics. The first two are of the Warn 8274 rebuild on the red bj74. The third pic is the Aux transmission cooler on the red one. The fourth is the PTO on the grey one pre bull bar install. The last pic is of the rear diff and the part of the new exhaust.

I liked the red one when I first saw it and I still like it to this day.
Good luck ......

Icelanticman, where are you located? I see you have posted interest in a lot of vehicles, which series do you really want? I highly recommend waiting for David to bring the red one in. I remember it being posted before he bought it. Seemed like a very clean nice rig if you can get over the auto, which is why I passed it up.

Thanks. It's been a long waiting game. Too bad it doesn't have lockers, an onboard air compressor, or a gun rack..

All of which can be added. :D
