$2000 FIRM trades plus cash considered...Im a sucker for old toyotas..but need cash.

Selling as a project/parts vehicle, that can be driven.
Reason for sale is need cash and have too many projects to finish right now.
This one has to be sacrificed.

I bought this a year or so ago as a parts vehicle but it was waay to nice to part out.
Since then I have done a lot of work and clean up on this truck.
I love it and will happily keep it if not sold for a fair price
About the Cruiser:

1987 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60

Red/Grey cloth

256k miles
2f 4.2l straight six runs awesome, first hit of the key, fires right up idles smooth
No oil leaks/PS leaks, etc.. sits in my garage and never any drops underneath it.
New rebuilt Weber 38/38 carb
Nice Header
Exhaust was to be temporary, but is working well, its just a straight thorough muffler and a short piece of pipe connected to the header.
Have a good hook-up for cheap exhaust to finish if wanted
Recently repainted manifolds and clean engine compartment
Desmogged

Clutch holds good and has been replaced at some point.
4 speed manual trans shifts works great. Quiet and smooth as it should be.
Brakes are new in the front good in the rear
Ebrake works and will hold the truck on a hill

No rear bumper
Aftermarket front bumper with 2 nice 5" lights wired up ready to go
Body has very little rust in the rear qtrs...very little for the typical FJ60
Some dents and a good one where a tire came off in the past in rear lower quarter. I was gonna do the quarted chop, but figured I'd leave it alone for next happy owner to decide.
Frame looks great.

Clean interior
Seats no rips, headliner perfect, dash great, etc.
Even smells good inside
No Radio/speakers
Windows could use some lube to go up and down faster and without sticking in the tracks
all doors open freely close tight

Selling as a parts/project vehicle for the following reasons:

Gas tank has rust particles inside, keeps clogging fuel filters.
I honestly think you could run some cleaner through the tank and it would be fine after anopther 1-2 fuel filters
I was going to drop tank and have re-sealed, but waay too busy right now.
Truck runs good off included boat gas tank in cargo area
Title has salvage brand and may require legwork
I have the title, but signed by both parties before my...BUT has dealer re-assignment paperwork to be filled out.
TItle is in dealers name with the re-assignment paperwork to transfer in new persopns name, DMV has confirmed this paperwork is OK. No Radio
Some small pieces not installed...rust free red tailgate to replace semi-rusty one on the truck..may be done soon

$3000.00

Bump...big price drop...now $2500

I would definitely be interested, but the title thing just scares me. Some states can be easy and others are next to impossible. PA is in the middle. Either way I'd try and resolve that to get people more interested.

Bump. Toying with parting out?? Kinda just lost interest in this thing...needs to go. :frown:

Bump. Reeally need to thin out the projects.

Lets cut to the chase

$2,000.00 cash.

Bottom dollar!!! Bring less and you go back home empty handed.

This thing is too nice and rust free to part out, but I will. wortH waay more than 2 in parts...waaay more....very very little rust on this one guys...definately been a southern truck.

I just have no time to finish..need to finish my trail rig and go wheeling dammit!!!

Also I think I have title buisness figured out..have a document in the mail, supposed to be last thing needed to apply for new title in new owners name.

My cell number is (704) 264 5three five six.

Still have this. Started it up for the first time in quite a while, and moved it to my storage, fired right up no problem. :D

Somebody steal this thing for $2k!

My phone is being flaky lately, and I have about 1000 voicemails in there, so call back instead of leaving message is best.

Thanks!

I can't believe this hasn't sold.

I'm not. As most of us old timers have found out the hard way, unassigned titles can be literally impossible to get registered. I've seen too many cases where the buyer could never register their vehicle because the guy who's name was on the title couldn't be located or else wouldn't cooperate. Salvage titles can also be a severe problem and are also impossible to ever put back on the road in many states. The seller NEEDS to get this into his name before he tries to sell it! And I think any potential buyer would like to know why it has a salvage title before even considering buying it.

umm wow thanks for your input........ the seller is a friend of mine, I believe the title has been fixed. I had put that coment as a bump to move the post back to the first page.
