I don't want to knock around the pitman arm...etc unless I'm forced to. I have beat the *&^%$ out of the steering stabilizer to get it off and that sucked.Map torch, BFH, the autozone rental puller, and blood sweat and tears. Atleast that’s my recipe
Yah I know it sucks, I was always taught to hammer on the edge of the pitman arm to free it. But I agree it feels like it’s a lot of force on the box itselfI don't want to knock around the pitman arm...etc unless I'm forced to. thanks for the feedbackFella asked a direct question, here’s a direct answer. Add a little heat too if you’re in the rust belt.
I also upgrade the bolts for the next fella with these tools, they aren’t the highest tensile strength.

OK, thanks for the feedbackOTC 8150
SNAP ON CJ119B ( same as above but not lifetime warranty)
I've pulled 30-35 arms with the 8150 and recently bought the Snap-On version. Only reason was it was on sale and the threads were pulling on the OTC.

another....thanks for the feedbackOTC 8150. Works every time. Amazon for good price. Occasionally found used on eBay.
I put a thin smear of Neversieze when reassemble.
Do you guys put any anti-seize on the splines pre-install? To help out the next guy, or yourself?
noted....Be aware there is a large and small version of that OTC/Snapper puller. Small will have a different number cast on it. Small one is for TRE and RRE and won't fit the LC pitman arm shaft.
